Is Mike Brown a better all-time NBA coach than Doc Rivers?
Mike Brown is now a two-time COTY, just won the 2026 NBA Finals as the Knicks’ head coach, and has been part of five championship runs overall if you include his assistant coaching roles under Gregg Popovich and Steve Kerr.
Meanwhile, Doc is obviously a Hall of Famer and has over 1100 wins, but a huge portion of his reputation still comes from the 2008 Celtics title team. That remains his only championship as a head coach despite coaching multiple star-studded rosters afterwards and underachieving with most of them.
So what’s the argument today? IMO, what I’ve seen from Mike Brown this postseason alone has made me feel this way. Dude cooked
