Exactly 28 Years Ago Michael Jordan Hit “The Last Shot” - Chicago Bulls Win Their 6th NBA Championship and Jordan Wins His 6th FMVP
“Yeah let’s just leave him on an island with MICHAEL JORDAN. No big deal. He’ll be aight.”
What in the actual hell??? When I go back and watch 90s basically after all this time the defense just infuriates me. TERRIBLE!
“players these days would never survive the defense from my days”
yeah aight unc 🤣🤣🤣
Lol this stuff still happens all the time in nba today. I remember people wondering how gobert got left on an island with gobert.
I wonder if in 30 years people will post last night’s game and all the comments will be “wow neither team even scored 100 and barely shot 35% what plumbers”
then i will come back with DEFENSE IS DEAD!!!!
I might be wrong since I’m not super familiar with the specific, but I thought the rules back then made it harder to double players or something with legal/illegal defense.
I’m not really sure how/why and might be remembering wrong though if anyone knows more.
Jordan also push him off…
The push is over rated.. if he did that today it would slide.
Clip cut out his anticipation steal on HoF PF Karl Malone. That’s part of what makes this sequence magical.
MJ was a legit all-time great player on both ends of the floor.
Hall of Fedopelia PF Karl Malone
“17 seconds. 17 seconds from game 7 or from championship number six”
Greatest broadcasting moment ever. Literal chills every time I hear it
I’m too young who’s the broadcaster?
Bob Costas. Fucking legend
Pretty jealous my parents got to experience Jordan and the bulls, my first bulls memory was D Rose tearing his ACL.
Oof
Fuck Im old. Remember watching this live.
I remember all the kids talking about it in school the next day. They had us watching space jam every day all winter.
Me too
Jeez, had that defender on roller skates 🛼
Giant push off
Dude even from this classic angle you can tell Russel was basically running in that direction when Jordan stops
Look how soft Utah plays them. No one contested the great MJ at the end of the game???
Forreal. This is how 90s defense was all the time. Lazy. They knew only like 7 guys in the league could shoot the 3.
Goat of goats. There’s just something mythical about what he did
That feeling of 100% sure its going down during crunch time because he has the ball.
plumbers
That’s my goat!
Pushed the hell out of his knee, hate when people hoop like that.
Why didn’t they foul?
Two free throws for Jordan if they did
But then you get it back with time on the clock….
Yeah but the gamble they took was to play defence on Jordan and hope he missed the shot instead of giving the chance at the line for 2 easy ones. Utah had 5 seconds after anyways, plenty of time. They just didn’t hit a game winner.
Why would you foul in this situation? You’re up by 1. Play defense and try to force a miss instead of guaranteeing them a high chance to tie or take the lead.
So much more can go wrong with a live possession than with two free throws.
Because they winning. Fouling and then just allowing them to be one point up (Jordan don’t miss FT) would be very weird. If that happened, it would probably be the worst play in history lol
Jordan pushed off
Thats literally every jump shot by every player in today’s game though
True, some worse than others
That left arm tho 👀
Meh barely anything
such shit commentary lol i’ve heard golf commentators more excited than this
