[Highlight] Josh Hart is dejected after his missed layup, but Brunson, Alavarado, and Towns cheer him up
Power of friendship ass team
First the thunder now this?! How dare they have chemistry.
The Thunder? thought it was Hali’s Pacers at least with the shit they pulled last playoffs.
The Thunder is like when the league of villains is comprised of evildoers who actually trust each other and enjoy each other’s company. Which as I’m typing this I’m realizing that would be way more common in sports than in fiction
Sinister 6 ass team
Huh??
Persona 5, The Team.
Atlus saw us in playoff mode and casually decided to drop Persona 6.
And an awesome teaser trailer did they drop. I’m loving the aesthetic, even if we don’t know much about it at all yet.
The Spurs never saw it comiiinggg
Persona 4 golden clears btw
P4 ass
Yo now it’s beef
Anyone who calls it Persona 4 Golden needs to get themselves together
The name of the game is persona 4 golden what else would you call it
Persona 4, golden is just the rerelease title.
Which the remake dropped in favor of a new name
No. Persona 4 is the game on ps2.
Persona 4 golden is the ps vita titles which added more to the game and story, which is why I’d became the ported version to modern consoles and steam.
The new remake is a remake of persona 4 golden not persona 4
That thumb paid off
Josh didn’t even seem happy during the press conference postgame. He looked just relieved that he didn’t turn into Charles Smith.
Zach Lowe talked about bumping into him backstage on the podcast today
said Hart was shell shocked. completely out of it. said he believes Hart was completely genuine when he said OG saved him “from a lifetime of regret”
I said right after he smoked the layup that I don’t care & we will still find other ways to stay in/win the game. I’ll never say a negative word about Hart. He makes major defensive plays left & right that don’t show up on highlight reels/overtly in the box score. I’m only appreciative of what he does & consider him the ultimate Knick.
Yeah, even in a worst case scenario, I think Hart’s resulting legacy would be more like John Starks than Charles Smith. Starks shot 2-18 in Game 7 of the 1994 Finals and the Knicks lost by 6. Fucking rough as hell, and it affected him the following season, but he’s still remembered fondly.
Smith didn’t have that buffer of sentiment because he wasn’t the same kind of heart-on-his-sleeve player. If anything he was a big letdown as a Knick overall, only averaging 11-4 as a Knick after averaging 18-7 as a Clipper prior to being traded to NY, including a couple of 20 ppg seasons. He was supposed to be a major piece but ended up being a dud. All of that contextual stuff matters a lot in determining a player’s legacy.
nah his face even when he admitted OG saved him at the presser, you could tell that one is still eating away at him. think he’s going to have a huge game 5
5 points 22 rebounds 5 steals and 6 assists
Wouldn’t want it any other way 😤
AND 1 RING
To rule them all
…subscribe.
It would not shock me if he gets a triple double
Keep going, I’m almost there
My board king
shut up and take my $
Nah. Too many points and not enough rebounds in that line
Seeing him come out of nowhere and grab a rebound away from guys bigger than him will never not amuse me.
I just realize if he got like 15 pts game, yeah someone gonna have a bad game and that like 10 fg attempts should go to OG
rodman numbers
He always does that. He does something stupid or has a bad game, and then has a killer game after that. But Brunson always does a great job at giving him his confidence back.
brunson man he has the perfect demeanor for NY , lead by example and let your game do the talking , everything else comes after. probably why his teammates like him so much
Fun-sized Tim Duncan
The Funcan
Hahahaha
He’ll have a lot of hometown fans to cheer him on
Imagine they win the series and he’s still at the postgame presser saying “what if I made that layup in game 4”
It wasn’t just the layup. It was falling on the last play. And it was falling asleep and letting Castle get the offensive rebound to take the lead.
He also kept them in the game in the last seconds too. He played insanely tight D on Castle, fought around a pick and managed to catch up with Castle and force him to step out of bounds giving the Knicks the ball.
I was thinking Patrick Ewing 😭
*De’Aaron Fox
this team chemistry is too good. love seeing them pick each other up instead of dwelling on the mistake. harts been huge for them all playoffs
That’s what a winning team is. Basketball more than anything you need complete synergy and trust in your teammates to be successful at that level.
I met this guy who worked for Jay Wright’s program when they were all at Villanova
The biggest thing that he said made them successful was an absolute dedication to the team as a collective, their sacrifice to make it all work together.
He said that everyone had a role, and no role was greater than any other, just different. Starters, bench players, weight room staff, coaches, everyone had an immense level of respect for each other. Ego went out the window.
I can’t even really do it justice describing it how he did.
Being a Villanova fan and a Knicks fan, this is the best timeline ever
That’s awesome. The little rascal in me feels like saying “b-b-but the starting Point Guard? Are we really saying that that’s not a greater role than the Ariel Hukporti’s of the world?” but I see what you mean, lol
It’s what they were missing last year. Got into a full blowout argument moments before the Haliburton shot.
This one stands out. Regardless of any context, I am willing to bet that if OG is mad and arguing, you know someone did egregiously something wrong.
awesome pull. I dont think i ever even saw this, given what happened immediately after it’s not surprising because I wanted no part of social media. interesting to note that even after that spat KAT did sort of try to reset the vibes while leaving the time out after a period of awkwardness. how far they’ve all come
It’s the perfect symbol of this era of the team. Insanely resilient and talented but the winning didn’t erase the core issues of that starting 5 not being on the same page. It all came back out when they let that lead slip.
They could have let a loss like that break them as a team. But it made them stronger because the 5 of them genuinely wanted to figure it out.
People say “oh the power of friendship” but really it is the mentality to not get dejected at 30 down, not get mad at your teammates, and to continue working together
As soon as they realise he’s really upset, they all switch the gears and start to cheer him up. You can see they genuinely don’t care about the missed layup.
Seriously. The moment they all noticed and reacted is so powerful.
That was awesome to see.
I said this in another comment, but Josh look genuinely dejected after the game, even after they had won. A crazy tip in away from having nightmares for the rest of his life. The emotional whiplash must be insane.
And you know he thinks about this stuff. They just asked him a week ago if when seeing reduced minutes this year if he saw the big picture all the time or did it bother him. And he said it definitely bothered him and many nights he went home asking “wait, am I ass? Do I suck at basketball?”
Honestly a great mentality rather than “Man fuck the coach”
Ts the type of moment that makes you want Knicks to win as a bystander
It would feel really great if Hart had a great game 5 to close them out, kinda like the Cavs series
He’s going to blow up for 6 pts 100%
6pts, 47 boards
The Bill Russell game
A game 5 win would also be cool because a 4-1 Knicks win would be a reverse of the 1999 Spurs Knicks finals straight down to the losing team only taking game 3 and that game breaking the Spurs 12 game winning streak
Losing team would have won game 3 but i get you
Maybe though I think the power that be may want the win at home for the Knicks. Ref did everything possible to help the spurs there in g4
And then you remember their fans
If we’re going to judge fanbases by their worst, self-video’d members, then everyone’s guilty. Because every fanbase has violent dipshits who use their fandom as a cover to get their anger out. It’s a universal thing in all sports. Maybe not golf.
Josh Hart my favorite Knick. I feel bad for that guy missing the layup, fouling Wemby (although he missed the 2 FTs), failing to box out Castle.
Just a series of unfortunate events for Josh.
And seeing how some Knicks fans react and lash out, even in wins, I am glad and relieved they won that game.
I hope josh hart knows no one gives a fuck about that miss. He has played his ass off and won multiple games for us, and we won the last game so none of the mess ups matter, just keep playing well! Huge contributer to the knicks across the board
0-0 mentality means nothing in the past matters!
Hopefully his old coach told him this!
Jay Wright looked like he also had a nice talk with Hart after the game telling him to keep his head up. He definitely still looked a little shook though.
Think he’ll have a big Game 5.
Yeah, after the missed layup, he gave up the uncharacteristic offensive rebound to Castle. Also didn’t do the greatest job defending Castle on the final alley-oop (bailed out by KAT’s tip)
I think he was still shook for a while.
Its funny because everyone was saying “Hart never normally misses a box out”. This man literally never boxes out and just goes for the ball.
Yes Hart sucks at boxing out lol, he picks up fouls doing it a lot too. His strength is being ignored on the wing while the other team ball-watches so that he can dive in for boards
Kind of like how Castle did on that play, funnily enough
It’s easy to cherry pick, and he did not have a great game, but the play before (or two?) the box out play he played great tough defense against Castle forcing a turnover. Just one of those up and down things.
If the Spurs would have won no one would be talking about Fox and Hart would be taking it in the teeth.

You’ve heard of blood brothers. But what about butt brothers?
You usually dont hear them, you feel them
When a guy is banging you…
And bangin’ and bangin’ and bangin’
I think the proper term is butt buddies.
Thats where the most warmth is as an Indian tea customer once said.
It must be great when the best player on your team is also your best friend
and one of your other starting teammates is both of yours’ friend and teammate from your college basketball days.
That’s a fucking team.
Power of friendship things
Everyone knows we wouldn’t be here without Josh. The team, the fans, everyone in the world watching basketball knows it. We got him
Josh is a real comedian. His reel of “missed hand shakes” is pure timing
I love this team, but this is just them picking him up.
yeah man i always see players go to pick their teammate up and all 3 within 0.3 seconds of seeing their teammate completely shift their body language 180 degrees
All 3 out there knows they need Hart next game. Meanwhile, on the losses of the Spurs, Wemby barely even gets a high five from his team mates at the end.
he gonna be locked in game 5
Some Captain Planet vibes right here.
hart’s impact goes way beyond the numbers. his offensive rebounding from the guard spot is a legitimate weapon — creates second chances that don’t show up in the box score. underrated piece this whole series
We’re the three best friends that anyonecouldeverhave, We’re the three best friends that anyonecouldeverhave.
Nah shit happens, I’ll never not love Josh Hart. He is the heart and hustle for the Knicks.
Thanks for showing the missed layup
Hart was killer in games 1,2 and 3. He has nothing to feel bad about. He had me so hype those first three games.
Idk about other Knicks fan but I promise you when he missed the lay up I didn’t even react, yell at the tv, groan, etc. I just figured we would win some other way.
Hart came close a couple of times to straight up losing the game for them. Fox said “hold my basketball”.
I believe Wemby kicks him in the face with his foot and that’s the reason he lags to get up
Wow I somehow missed this. The moment his shoulders droop they’re on him and getting him back up. Wholesome AF.
He was about to go into little kid mode. Truly speaks to the pressure here.
Keeping the mental alive
Outside of them having the worst fanbase I’ve ever seen, that squad is very likeable.
looked like me tryin to dunk out there
Awwww I LOVE this. This team truly rides for each other. Power of fucking friendship bby
How dare they make me love them more than I already do.
There was nothing else to do.
I’ve been looking for this clip! Thanks for uploading.
TIL I am Josh Hart
Ala verga?
Take notes Houston Rockets.
This is beautiful.
Jordan/kobe could never
Spurs in 7 but I loved that moment.
Still mad you lost Brunson and Luka huh?
Bruh of course 😂
