Even game 1 was only a double digit win due to a late surge, the rest of the game was pretty close

I’m of the opinion that if game 1, 2, and 3 were called equally for both teams, the Knicks would’ve won those games by 20+. I think the spurs are a great team with a bright future and grit, but the Knicks are clearly the better team.

Spurs have a shorter rotation, they tire out at the end of games especially Wemby. They start every game in the first quarter like a force of nature but as their gas runs out the Knicks stay consistent and have a deeper bench they can rely on in case of fatigue or foul trouble

I am very curious on how the Spurs will bounce back from this tough loss. The Spurs are young so a loss like this could rattle a young team easily. However, they seem pretty poised and this isn’t the first time that they’ve had their backs against the wall. They were down 3-2 against the defending champs last round so they’re more than capable of bringing this Finals series to 7. Whether they have the mental strength to get back up and come all the way back to bring this series to 7 is another thing.

Bro none of these games have been blowouts. These are two evenly matched teams who just refuse to both play their best at the same time. It starts with the Spurs playing their best and the Knicks looking like middle schoolers. Then the Spurs look like middle schoolers and the Knicks look like gods. It’s never them both playing well at the same time. Anything can happen. This series is 3-1 on paper. And yes it’s better to be lucky than to be good. But about 4 minutes of different basketball and it’s possible the spurs are up 3-1 in a different universe.
