I know Amick’s supposed to be the reliable one but guys with far better Boston sources have already said there’s not a lot of interest on their end. I feel like we probably have different definitions of what “journo speak” is. To me this is very clearly Amick expressing a viewpoint that is not his own with some obfuscation so as not to reveal exactly who he heard it from.
You can still be skeptical of the information and think Amick has a bad source or bad information, but to me this is not the type of thing he says as a personal opinion or question.
You’ve got “league sources” and “known concern”. With that and considering his reputation, which is mostly what I think we should rely on anyway, I don’t get how you dismiss this besides hating reporting (which we mostly do).
Amicks reporting seems pretty consistent with other reporting that Giannis has interest but the Celtics FO seemingly doesnt or is being very tightlipped about it.
Celtics fo is always very tightlipped. I don’t trust much that comes leaked from Boston’s side. I’d imagine if Boston truly had no interest, Giannis’s camp wouldn’t talk about it as an option. Who really knows tho

First off, Giannis is not a free agent, so he’s going to be traded. Which, second means Boston would have to give up a lot just to salary match. Realistically either JB, or White and half their rotational depth. Either one makes the Celtics worse in some ways even if Giannis improves them in others.
KD was a free agent who was able to join the full 73 win Warriors team by choice at no trade cost. It was a bad look because he wanted an easy path to a ring.

Better in terms of what? Do I think Myles Turner is a better player to have with Giannis than Andrew Wiggins or Davion Mitchell? Yeah. Kevin Porter was really solid last year averaged 18 ppg and the bucks defense was much better with him on the court than him off it. He’s 26 Powell is 33. Bam is the best player on either team no named Giannis but his game will suffer the most with Giannis.
