To be fair, DeMar improved leaps and bounds, year by year to even get to the starting point Pop had. DeMar came into the league basically not good at anything except running and dunking. During his years in TO he drastically improved his handle, footwork and shooting.
I would say Pop was absolutely what he needed at the point he went to the Spurs because he was ready to move on to improving his passing and IQ.
Point forward DeMar makes Lonzo’s injury even sadder. His main playoff knock was inefficiency but added playmakin coulda changed the narrative

It’s embarrassing really. I grew up in the city for 13 years and a week ago, I was talking to my mom who still lives there and I was reminiscing and wanting to go back to be there for the energy of the city. Seeing shit like this makes me want to avoid it at all costs.
I was planning on going to Manhattan for a Game 4 watch, but now I’m happy to just stay in Queens for the rest of this series. This has just ruined so much of the fun of this series.
