I stayed in Manhattan for a vacation. Walking around during the day and evening felt super safe and chill. People for the most part were what you would expect from a big city, no issues whatsoever.
But then towards the end there was a big parade, and it was like an entire different type of person had crawled out from every crack and crevice in the city for the sole purpose of showing up to this event and creating a shit storm. They had no interest in the event itself, they were just using it as an excuse to show up and destroy stuff.
These crowd of people are exactly the ones coming to watch parties to sow chaos and commit violence. They are not fans, just miserable and underprivileged people who want to see the city burn to the ground cus of their general misfortune.

We cheered together. We got sad together. We left. The streets were full of other people ambling home, hoping for a better outcome in Game 4.
