[Highlight] DeAaron Fox knocks down a free throw line jumper for a 5 point lead with 12s remaining
STOPS. POPS. DE’AARON FOX
In grant napiers voice
Man I miss him
Fuck the woke left
Everybody walk the dinosaur
Hopefully this play gives spurs coaches (and wemby) clarity on who should be handling the ball in clutch situations.
I mean Wemby has been clutch enough in these playoffs already. It’s good to have multiple options depending on who’s feeling cooler.
Say what you want about Fox, he is not afraid to take his shot if he sees it
confidence to do that after being bad all series is special
would u rather him be a chet lol
No, it’s awesome. It’s what makes the spurs great. They always bounce back
i’m giving him credit for having the mental fortitude to shoot even if he’s been missing
Something something I’d rather go 0-30 than 0-9 something something
thunder fans in shambles
Did game 2 not happen??
The play was called for Wemby to take it. Fox should have though
My first thought. Why did they force to (ice cold) Wemby at the end of game 2, Fox could have taken this shot.. and has always been pretty clutch so far as I know? Hated it.
shooters shoot
I thought he was really hurt when he slid and turned it over a few possessions earlier, truly amazed he got that shot off
Passed up a wide open three minutes earlier.
But he already missed 5 wide open threes over the course of the game, so I get it.
Except he passed one up the possession before this
I would say “his shot”, is more of a drive and either finish at the rim or pull up outside the key for a jumper. Rather than a 3 point shot, where he isn’t that efficient
And all the players trust him
Let’s not forgort he won the inagural Clutch Player of the Year. You don’t get that from a lack of confidence.
DAGGER
not yet
Ok mace windu
NOW ITS DAGGER
The zebras will determine your fate.
of course he hits that lmao
Absolutely useless until he got that 2 blocks on KAT and this shot. Literally his only use is to playmake lmao
Literally his only use is to playmake lmao
If that stops Castle from having another 8 turnovers, honestly worth it lol
People forgot how badly Castle was turning the ball over vs OKC before Fox came bsck… Spurs made their 4th quarter comeback in game 2 after benching castle
Fox literally has the highest assist to turnover ratio in the playoffs I think. Even tonight people will (somewhat rightfully) shit on his shooting and completely ignore 8 assists to 2 turnovers.
Literally no one has forgotten that lol
Yeah, I was mad as this shot was going up. He missed like 6 other midrange jumpers this game. It’s his favorite shot and it doesn’t work very often.
Super high degree of difficulty shot but also unguardable, so like a high risk high reward kinda shot. You’re right though it’s not a preferred shot in the nba for a reason but when it hits it looks awesome.
For having watched every game of the season, believe me it works more often than not ! Not in these playoffs though…
And yet this shot won the game, the duality of fox lmao
Finally, he decided to take the shot
He bricked the shit out of that in the clutch in game 1
Fox takes a lot of shots but there a high probability that it’s a brick lol
Kings legend
That NFT rug pull scam on Kings fans was definitely legendary. The guy loves his money.
Kings fans 9⁄11
Every day is a 9⁄11 for Kings fans
last years finals even was too lmao
Would it have been worse if Hali wasn’t injured and won that game 7
Most of us still love Hali so no
Its like fifteen 8/11s
Yall are like that movie Groundhog’s Day except every day is your 9⁄11
Yeah because the Pelicans provides so much pride and joy to their fans, right?
As they say in Mississippi, thank god for Alabama
I enjoyed it? My own team is hell, why not enjoy when people are freed from hell and can succeed?
If you’re a real kings fan you hate the kings most of all, love to see my guys thrive
Kings fan average Monday
Cmin man, don’t laugh about 911. It was a national tragedy
So are the Kings - its an apt description.
That’s why they have Foxy. Big shot
ignore him absolutely bricking before this
Okay, I will.
Wemby was getting that rebound anyways. No one boxed him out lol
The story of Fox in the Spurs.
He has 1 good game or play and you get people talking like he is carrying the team.
This exact shot lost the game 1 I think.
He’s gotten bailed by Wemby and castle. 12 points in 14 shots
Spurs only had 8TOs as a team thanks to Fox. Imagine no Fox for those 36mins he played. Scary sight for a Spurs fan.
He’s also 4⁄14 and a -6
Box score watchers in shambles.
“4/14 is actually good!”
Made the one that mattered the most
Except if he doesn’t go just 4⁄14, he doesn’t need that shot.
Yall act like points scored only count in the final minute or something.
The entire game matters
Him shooting 4⁄14 is one of the large reasons this situation even existed in the first place.
the team is better with fox on the floor, regardless of his box score
the team is better with Fox in the rotation, but I’m pretty sure it’s best with Harper and Castle on the floor.
it depends. fox generates a lot of really good looks off of his speed alone, and he is absolutely preventing a lot of young mistakes in his minutes. if he weren’t injured i think his value would be a lot more obvious. Harper is just ridiculous tho so it won’t be long before he’s our legit second option
Thanks Magic
He’s also the reason we don’t have about 15 extra turnovers in the box score
Do you remember Steve Kerr’s box score from the game where he hit _that_ shot? Yeah, me neither.
Completely ignoring 8 assists
his assists, deflections (1 steal), and 2 blocks including massive clutch block on KAT. And protected the ball
Thank fucking God
If he missed they would’ve called a foul anyways
I guess your allowed to maul Wemby all possession so much for the bias against the Knicks
KAT has been doing it for 5 possession in a row now
Watch him during the Castle dagger too, 24⁄7 grabbing
Wemby’s gotta learn to fall down when they do that
They call him a floppers when he legit gets hit lol
Every series there’s been a Bigman whose sole job is to hold and grab wembys arms as much as possible. KAT, Hartenstien, Gobert, Clingan
Believe it or not, Caruso
Looks like a receiver blocking a cornerback out there
Thats why wemby didn’t get a flagrant for shoving brunson tbh they know he’s kinda getting hacked
That dirty POS deserves it
Potential season saver right there
I have been fucking waiting for this De’Aaron
He was great game 2 lol
These guys don’t actually watch games
and had such a clutch block on KAT (2 total blocks). 8 assists and ran the offense well
/u/SloshaPacana
Shoulda taken this exact shot in game 2 not force to Wemby. Hated it.
Felt like he couldn’t hit anything today. Came up clutch so that doesn’t matter anymore.
Like Brunson in game 1
his shot was on in game 2 and he should have closed with the game winner after Wemby’s big blunder.
He was 4⁄4 from FT and had 2 blocks including that massive clutch block on KAT. Also had 8 assists
Dumbass could be chilling in Sacramento instead of working overtime in San Antonio. Dummy
Playoff experience?
Idc what it was. Damn good shot bro.
You could never make me hate this man. Blocked the fuck out of KAT too
Perfect time to finally find it
Kat playing offensive tackle here lmao
because he forced his way out we didn’t have a choice lmao
Fox on a max also isn’t tenable for a normal team. Little different if you’re the sometimes 3rd option on a team with Wemby lmao
oh. yea even if he was forced to stay those vibes wouldve been horrid.
He forced himself out lmao they had no choice
The Haliburton decision was 10 times worse
Because they could have zach lavine and demar derozan
I know now is the time to be irrational but the Kings with Fox achieved a single first round exit
He’s not some franchise player you need to keep or build around
No i agree but i think you got out of a player that teams could use and got nothing of value in return
what did they achieve without him
This a real question? Lmao
Not even a bad decision lol ask why they picked him over Haliburton
Because Kings didn’t want to pay an injury prone, washed up chucker $60 mil per year. His athleticism is a fraction of what it was when he was in Sacto. All those ankle injuries have taken their toll on his body. He looks super slow these days and his handle is shaky as hell(as a result of that broken finger thxn never healed properly).
Never seen someone deny a screener like Kat did there
Did you watch any of the other times the Knicks played defense in the finals?
That’s some Karl Malone on Clyde Drexler type assault
For all of the hate that Fox gets, his ability to lift in the clutch (especially on the road) is undeniable.
Fucking huge shot
It’s your own fans hating on Fox the most lol
I’m very aware hahaha
on one good ankle 8 assists, 2 blocks including the clutch KAT block
Clutch shot damn
If they did that game two, San Antonio is winning the series
They need to run plays like that more
Don’t count out Trump, they could still pull it out
That shot alone is worth 30million
feels like Fox is playing hurt and didn’t turn it on until 7:00 to go in the 4th
he finally started attacking the rim around that time
He is absolutely hurt. He is noticeably slower than normal and he has no ups.
He’s dealing at least one high ankle sprain.
Fox has accomplished more than the entire Sacramento kings franchise in their history, go get it young man
Yes - because it was Foxs 12 points that won them the game.
12 more points than any Sacramento King has ever scored in an nba finals game
They do have a championship from the ‘50s, at least.
Dagger from a dude who’s been ice cold all night
If he missed, Wemby was going to crush that putback dunk
josh hart flopped so hard there
no shame whatsoever. he looked so tired doing it too
Hart has to expend so much energy. It paid off in previous 2 games and helped them stay in it, but yeah.
Why fox should have taken the last shot last game.
Tough 🔥
damn…. that shit was cold
Now he hits something lol, good for him.
I yelled DONE
Wait
CLUTCH!!!!
Damn, that was a quick release.
Huge shot. If he missed that Brunson was 1000% hitting another pull up 3 coming down the other end
That flop from Josh Hart was so sad…
That’s a foul if it’s Brunson
CLUTCH!!
That’s game
NBA Finals. Madison Square Garden. 4th quarter clutch shot.
That’s crazy man
Epic flop by Hart, must be hoping for a trade to OKC in the offseason.
That might’ve just saved the Spurs season right there!
Clutch player of the year 2 seasons ago
Its the ones u least expect
DARREN FOX
Sac Kings need to go back to cincy
Omaha/Kansas City
Keep shooting, Fox. Short memory is key.
wow that’s big
Cold blooded
whats a king to a God
4th Quarter Fox does it for Pops!
goat
keep the Fox hate coming haters! he is also the inaugural clutch player of the year
Make fun of that kings fans. You delusional fucks
What does De’Fox say
KINGS ARE IN THE FINALS
Fox with the nerves of steel
Fox sorry for doubting you bro my bad
Fox so calm under pressure bro
Huge
FOX SAID “THIS IS WHY THEY GAVE ME A MAX CONTRACT” 🗣
Dagger
If you shoot 14 shots eventually one goes in. Would hate to rely on that for years to come.
KAT and Wemby just slow dancing before the shot
KAT just protecting everyone from that violent criminal.
MR FOURTH QUARTER IS BACK
I can’t believe he iso’d on OG
KAT’s move on Wemby is just disgusting, I mean it is a holding foul even in football!
The Inaugural NBA Clutch Player of the Year
can we talk about the wrestling match between Wemby and KAT? This isn’t basketball.
LIGHT THE BEAM
This play is why I can’t take the knicks fans complaining about refs seriously. What Karl does here would be flagged for holding in the nfl, and it’s every damn play with Wemby. Which is whatever, but the complaints are dumb. Yes, when you foul as a strategy, you’re going to get called for more fouls
That’s the game winner ngl. I mean castles shot too tbh
Wemby was so gassed at this point, they had gotten bailed out by Castle already and it felt like they wouldn’t get a good shot off. For Fox to realize this, get to his spot, and hit that shot that he’s been hitting his entire life…cold
One on one vs OG nonetheless. That’s cold
I wish he was fully healthy
[deleted]
We didn’t ask for it
Genuinely played terrible. So many dumb turnovers. Passes to no one… Frustrating. Visiting players just love playing here
Unearned win. Needed 30 pt refs swing for this position. Bring the downvotes
