I feel like a lot of people would appreciate ball movement vs iso play if we could watch whole games like this.

Yup. Brunson iso ball is so so boring
It’s interesting, I really like seeing sga iso ball when he gets in his bag (and obviously when he doesn’t actively try to seek out a flop). But for Brunson it’s a lot different and I don’t know why
The footwork is probably 90% of it
and he backs his defender down…dude is physical as fuck for his size
And he plays a lot slower compared to most other PGs.
I like the Brunson iso when it’s an option combined with this ball movement. Brunson cooking Champagnie (or the threat of him doing so) has been the catalyst for a lot of these ball movement sequences
I’m a big Knicks fan and I like Brunson ISO in small doses. His footwork is incredible. But it’s best reserved for late in games when we need a bucket and avoid a TO while running the clock down. Our ball movement this year has been amazing to watch vs past Thibs years

As usual they played like as in the first. It’s been a concern all season, but they tend to make it up in the second half.

After they crashed out last year that is the reason I thought they would never win a title with Brunson. I was clearly wrong and it is working this year for some reason.
The team is so locked in. No one is lazy trying to box out for a board.

From what I’m seeing Wemby just collapsed this series and no one else on the Spurs can lift the weight. I get they’re young so maybe this is expected but just an unreal collapse of a team that defeated OKC. Wemby seems like a head case now and ironically has no inside the paint big man offense, most of his shots are 10+ ft away and seems like NY is really exploiting this and daring Wemby to beat them from midrange/perimeter which he can’t do.
This team would be univerally beloved if we weren’t the “New York” Knicks. this was beautiful ball movement and they do this every game since the post season started
