Fox does a great job game managing for the Spurs and keeping the turnovers low. He’s a solid vet presence. Unfortunately, he gets paid way too much just to game manage. I know he’s hurt right now, but him not being aggressive in terms of scoring has been a thing all season. He’s been very inconsistent. I do think the Spurs might hold on to him next year, then trade him after next season as Castle and Harper continue to develop.

they likely told him not to score that much (in the sense of scoring aggression) while they want to allow dylan and castle to handle the pressure of that kind of load cause we know fox has it (despite it being on and off this offseason)

He’s been very inconsistent.

Outside of keeping the ball from being turned over, he’s been awful since coming back from injury.

not really to this extent. He averaged 26 a game in Sac. I didn’t expect him to average that in San Antonio, but he rarely gets to 20 nowadays. Watching him, it seems he clearly has declined as a scorer from a couple of years ago imo. I know he had a hamstring injury last offseason. I wonder if that took away some of his scoring juice.

The Spurs play true team basketball and trust one another. Fox has brought valuable experience that really helps this young group.
