Brandon Valenzuela provides some insurance with a solo homer
This dude has been absolutely absurd. Credit to both him and the jays front office for identifying him.
Honestly, the Jays front office has been doing miraculous things. They gave us Spencer Miles this season too.
The Jays front office has been amazing at turning nothing into value.
Biggio for Fisher
Wagner for Valenzuela
Pearson for Pinango
IKF for McAdoo
Nobody for Miles
Brandon Valenzuela changed my life
It’s getting harder and harder to imagine he isn’t forcing Heineman off this team when Kirk returns.
The issue is options . As it’s always been since his first week lol.
Or you get a hell of a trade piece for guy like Skubal
To play once a week?
Kirk isn’t going to play 6 games a week.
Especially when coming back from an injury
I think Kirk could do with a lighter workload than he had last year (obviously he’s already had that now with the injury lol)
What does this man have to do to earn splits with Kirk?
At first, I assume Kirk will be a little rusty. Rehab and the Majors are a different beast.
But Valen provides a left-handed bat, more pop, better baserunning, possibly better D. If you’re Schneider, you gotta get to a point where George is the odd-man odd. That DH position opens up a lot of possibilities for a struggling team going through injuries all year. George simply hasn’t had it this year and he can’t be starting just because of his contract/last year’s play.
Brandon Valenzuela somehow leads all Jays position players in fWAR and bWAR despite only playing 43 games
somehow
He real good
Give Hoffman a chance in the ninth please
That would be something John would do tbh
It’s only right
🤣🤣🤣
Valenzuela and Piñango have been such solid contributors this season. Can’t imagine where this team would be without them.
Piñango is going to be a tough fit moving forward once Barger is back. He’s a clear defensive liability but cooks with the bat. Hope we can make it work somehow, there’s going to be an even bigger logjam out there soon.
Barger is very mid, other than the arm.
I take “mid” as replacement level, and not a liability though
I can’t believe the umps would do this.
I live in a world where if an ump makes a bad call, everything after that happens is invalid and fully on the umps because it shouldn’t have happened if the ump made the right call in the first place. Blue Jays are 65-0 in my head, it is amazing to watch baseball this way
If Orioles had got the DP call, Garcia would have been used earlier in the order and not against Valenzuela, so this is sadly just a hypothetical home run and shouldn’t count.
Another hypothetical win for the SEC Toronto Blue Jays
The Jays are the analytical winner of every series, just like the Cavs
Literally no one is saying this, who are y’all arguing with lol
This comment is so funny 😂 😂 😂
He’s our 3rd catcher, called up from AAA when Kirk got injured.
It seems like a lot of teams are crunched for catchers at the moment but the jays have a wealth of great catching
Is this one somehow on the ump too?
Nope. But it should be 4 - 2.

I’m glad you agree. 4 - 2.
Glad to know that even in the face of the written rule, you fail to comprehend anything. Good job.
They’re calling him the Barry Bonds of today
That one made me jump, he just murders baseballs.
This guy has been insane the last few games.
Franchise catcher for the next several seasons. He’s the real deal.
You know we have kirk signed for like 5 more years right
We’ll be going band for band with the Orioles all season lol
Dang surely he’s getting close to matching Vladdy’s homeruns for this season
Cheers Wagner
I just hope this loss doesn’t derail the season bc we have been playing really well before this series
Your team blew a 5 run lead last week and made a 5 run comeback the next day. This is just another game.
