Using an elevator during delirium was an experience
hail raven?
Really wish I was that guy
Unfortunately thats not what happened xdd
tried delirium on my chronomancer and nearly ripped in the first 30 seconds. elevators are death traps
vaal factory conveyors got me the same way. dein small spaces is always a death sentence tbh
Terrible HC death IMHO
Hc player would have just logged.
Lol thats what I was thinking, now I know dont mess with elevators with delirium!
I used to hate Delirium before .5 patch. I still do, but I use to too.
Mitch Hedburg jokes aside, it’s certainly improved in visual clarity and story and variety, but the summation of the gimmick still just being “enemies are just plain way harder to kill” is so profoundly unfun to me. It feels like a mechanic I don’t want to engage with at all until my build is super overgeared because the disparity between 0% and 100% delirium is insane. You can be strong enough to walk around 1 tapping everything in a map and delirium can turn every encounter in that same map into a fight for your life.
I think it would be fine if the rewards were better, or at least somewhat guaranteed like in POE1, where you get a guaranteed drop after killing enough monsters. currently it feels meh and not worth the risk because you get close to nothing for all the extra difficulty.
the splinters also feel meh as streamer lily pointed out you need to spec into a node that lets lv 75 + monsters drop splinters, which is weird as you basically get close to no splinters ( most of the time <5) in a map if you haven’t spec into that particular node.
I thought I was the only one. I’ve received nothing of value from them. I’m not full specd but I mean at least some currency or something.
Y’all aren’t dropping emotions? The rewards were not great but I was already getting those before specing the tree at all.
They’re not consistent. Some maps you get nothing.
I like it but it needs to be distanced from the other league mechanics in some way imo. Instilling maps was clunky but at least a way to challenge good builds, which I think is the right way for it to work so that you have something to push against. As of now it generically makes maps more difficult but you also interact with it at the very beginning and all the way through endgame. I think the very least is it should be the mechanic that is farther from starting hub so swap it with ritual.
I did ritual quest first and then deli and since then every other quest has felt so relatively trivial. The fact that it felt like I needed to run it first so I could start dropping splinters does not seem like a good ordering of the systems.
That’s the summation of the POE endgame experience, really. Putz until your build hopefully out-gears the league content. The league content your build needs to out-gear it…
I’d be ok with it if it just added chonk, but the flame lacerate thing that mobs get occasionally is overtuned as fuck and kills the mechanic for me all on its own. Kinda surprised they haven’t fixed it yet.
That’s exactly why I like Delirium.
The endgame is easy. If you know what you’re doing, you can get to farming T15 maps in under a day. Delirium gives a reason to actually upgrade your gear.
If you know what you’re doing, you can get to farming T15 maps in under a day.
Sure, but this is a small percentage of the playerbase and it’s not like Delirium doesn’t exist until you get to T15 maps. It’s right next to the starting area of the endgame and the challenge spike is pretty far out of band for people who are brand new to the end game.
But having aspirational content is good.
If everything you’re given access to is easy, what’s the point of playing an ARPG? Delirium being hard gives something that you can’t do right off the bat, which is exactly what gives people motivation to upgrade their gear.
At no point did I say otherwise. All I stated was the difficulty spike for what it is introduced is out of band with the other league mechanics. When you first start endgame, let’s assume you aren’t one of the 5% of players who can “get to T15 in a day”. Even with a mid build, you can start playing Breach, Abyss, Ritual, etc. pretty early without issue and the difficulty ramps gradually. Delirium turns every map into a massive slog unless you are super overgeared for it, which new players will not be.
Before assuming the point of my original comment was “Make delirium easier” please read it again. I’m fine with delirium being hard and pushing people to improve their builds and gear…but it should get hard at a more gradual pace.
I don’t necessarily disagree with it getting harder at a more gradual pace, but I kinda like having that wall. I hit T15 maps at the end of Saturday and was instantly getting my ass kicked in Delirium and had to lower my map tier to progress that quest. I appreciated the instant reminder that my build is still shit.
Doesn’t it make more sense for the aspirational content to be T16s / pinnacles / juiced tablets and specific atlas nodes rather than a specific league mechanics?
I agree in aspirational content. I don’t agree it should be a baseline league mechanics. It’s super confusing for a new player to introduce all the leagues as basically the same time and then say:
“These 4 leagues all add a bit of difficulty to parts of your map for more rewards.
This last league mechanic adds way more difficulty to your entire map, and adds a timer, for more rewards.”
I think this level of Deli should absolutely exist as aspirational content, but have it be through optional node selection not default, because it makes no sense compared to the rest of the leagues unless they specifically want deli to be more challenging than everything else - but then makes its lore, story, and progression more aspirational as well.
The difficulty of all the other league mechanics comes from a portion of your map being more challenging in unique or specific ways. The challenge from delirium comes from making the whole map hit harder and be tankier, while being timed.
If delirium is going to just be significant harder than everything else it should have more clear distinction from other maps and offer improved rewards.
😂 It might just be in your head
I’m sorry this happened! Fucken great edit though man 😂
Ok, that was funny… 😀
How using an elevator feels when you have anxiety
I still do not understand delirium lol
walk through big mirror -> follow fog -> kill things -> walk into small mirrors -> drops a distilled disappointment at the end of the map
So I wasn’t confused, delirium just sucks. I kinda just run through the mirrors to the boss which I’m assuming is the last mirror on the little bar thing and then wonder if it actually did anything
Edit: shit, I forgot jumping through the portal thing and either finding the altar in the nightmare in 2 seconds or 45 mins
There was a red fountain fog looking thing that turns everything grey and it keeps expanding. What is that exactly ? Do I stay near it until it ends ? Or do I just have to stay inside the grey area ? I think it dropped something but I was too far to go back to pick it up.
Also, the last marker on the meter leads me to where the map boss is …. which usually I die to so all is moot. But last attempt I killed it. Then there’s nothing left. So delirium just runs out then nothing happens still. No last drop :/
What did I miss.
Once you specc into it, you drop some splinters when it runs out (i usually forget to fast forward and leave the map without them though9).
Can you explain why the different coloured mirrors will spawn a big guy or a (mini?) boss, but before I kill them they despawn? Usually it just takes a few hits and they’re gone, before they’ve fully materialized properly into the world even. I’m guessing just buggy, but I have killed them without issues too, so I keep thinking it’s something that I do.
All for one shitty little distilled nothing
I’m only playing armor stacking until they fix these
the anticipation

Gangbanged
How did you get such a compact ui?
Pretty sure it’s a console exclusive ui. One of the only plus sides to playing on console lol
On a level with Ultimatum effects triggering on them haha
Thank you for your sacrifice in teaching us that elevators in Delirium are a no-no. *looks up and sees mob* “I think I’ll just stand here and let this one end”.
what’s that orange fire body effect? wild that they let you stack it with the ghoul thing but I can’t equip ghoul and eldritch orbs at the same time
Pretty sure it’s eternal rage
oh it’s a skill, neat, I thought it was an MTX because I saw someone with it active in town
Should have taken the stairs. That’s freaking hilarious though.
Before we get started, does anyone want to get out?
If you think that’s bad, try almost having a heart attack when www.rakiatas.boss knocks you down and the delirium monsters go to town on you while he runs around shouting
Rofl 🤣 classic ggg what a goated setup.
And you can’t go to the last part of the delirium in towers xD
Same with abyss up there as well. Its completely rng lol
Reminds me of that one elevator ride in metal gear
Yah, Deli is a bit silly on those maps. But you can get a pricey oil.
As a djin enjoyer, I just stack the fire traps and they disappear.
Bro went down shooting, a true G.
LOL that happened to me too.
“Come out bro. We promise we won’t jump you.”
Yeah I hate delirium. They need to not only fix it in certain maps and layouts but also the stat scaling needs to be lowered significantly. I feel so tanky and then I decide to do a delirium encounter, then after half the map suddenly things are one shotting me. I also don’t see the rewards from it, like I’m sure there are reward increases on the affected monsters but it’s not nearly as noticeable as other mechanics that are just genuinely much easier.
It’s such bullshit for real. I’ve been running a Sacrosanctum recoup Infernalist build as well, so going up the elevator kills all of my stacks, and I’m left at the top, no demonform, no recoup rolling, and have to awkwardly dodge around trying to get rolling without getting instagibbed b/c I’m burning the fuck out of myself.
I’m used to positioning myself at the door for Tavakai’s first phase. The delirium mobs outside activate before my character stands up and then I have to panic dodge roll backwards… completely undoing my own attempt to rush the RP,
damn you got scarfaced
“I am not stuck with them, they are stuck with me”- ahh moment 😂
And that’s you afterwards.
