Given the amount of secrets and hidden quests this league, I wouldn’t even be shocked if there is a hidden delve dungeon somewhere in the atlas.
There are nico traces through act 4 campaign (sulphite island), what if there is something new here after u receive this message?
There is a message somethere that says the inhabitants of the island that we slaughter are mining sulphite for Niko.
People likely would have found it in PoE DB by now if there was. Things like the Depleted Mana Rune and the Tuning Fork were known about from that, just not how to complete them.
For whatever it’s worth, I got some expedition rumor saying “Sulphite”
probably some spaghetti code where the atlas masters are coded similar to the poe1 masters. earlier i finished a quest for jado and it showed i got a mission from kirac
Considering how many leftover things from PoE1 were in 0.1, like being able to open the PoE1 atlas screen by changing a keybind, I wouldn’t be surprised if there are more things still left over in the code.

every league is delve league. im reminded of that every time i finish the campaign and open the atlas 😫 and i avoid delve like the plague in poe1
Infinite atlas is not just like delve. The only similarity is that it’s infinite . That’s it.
The entire gameplay loop and reward system is completely different, they serve two vastly different purposes.

I think it was already confirmed Delve would come back at some point. There’s the tease in Act 4 and I think either Mark or Jonathan themselves said it’d come back.
It sounds pretty clear from the dialogue on that island that Niko is running a straight up corporate mining operation, using those little dudes you’re killing as slaves.
Which I am all for. Maybe we get some meta progression tied to expanding your mining operation with what they learned from Kingsmarch. Whether we will be delving like normally, I doubt it. It’s probably going to be more rarely, and focused on bossing I’d guess.
I hope it’s not like kingsmarch I do not like mechanics that play themselves when you’re not there.
No, hopefully they have learned from that. I imagine it could work with ticks happening with every map completed. Would be much more in line with the current game too. There’s very little that just pulls you out of maps.

The most recent MTX pack they released was Blight themed and 100% had an updated/remixed version of the Blight music playing. I’m sure it’s in the queue. Not sure what league they will go with for 1.0 launch, but I doubt it would be Blight unless it’s reworked significantly from the Tower Defense mode (and also since Delirium currently owns the oil/anointing mechanic).

Perhaps they’re imagining Delve in its current form in PoE2, which yes, would be miserable. Presumably GGG would be aware of this though and they would change the mechanics to account for the different pace
Considering the current Atlas is actually Wraeclast itself, physically, instead of various “dimensions” or such like in PoE1, I could see Delve working in a sort of “layer” below the Atlas, with actions happening on one affecting the other potentially?
My mind kinda goes to the underground map in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, and how it was a sort of mirror of the surface. That was such a cool place to explore…

Personally I find that one nice thing about Delve is that it’s isolated. If they affected each other then it’s basically double Atlasing y’know
Isolated except for being one of (or the only now?) the out of map mechanics left that require you to run maps to be able to get the untradable resource needed to run it.
Because he’s already assuming it’s gonna be a 1:1 copy of PoE1’s version, which he can’t enjoy without spamming shield charge for movement, Life on tree, crafting bench, instant portals.. etc.
It’s always the same complaint from PoE1 andys that can’t get away from PoE2, they love to hate it and compare its shortcomings as a ~2 year old game against its decade+ old predecessor, but they secretly can’t stop playing it.
PoE2’s not gonna be for everyone, which is why PoE1’s still amazing and alive! But that guy is feeling left out when there’s a new PoE2 league so he’s being negative for no reason.
