A guy like that is useful, but, KP misses more games than he plays.

Porzingis is amazing but he’s not reliable due to his health. If we could get him on a small contract it may be worth the risk.

I don’t understand the fawning over KP. We essentially went through the 2024 playoffs without him and win despite that. And then the next year he played more games but was so ill and ineffective it was like playing with 4 guys instead of 5.

You guys who want to bring back KP and Timelord have to stop living in the past.

Sometimes these threads remind me of sitting at a bar with a friend who keeps talking about getting their old girlfriend back; instead of looking for someone new who is a better fit.

I’d have no problem bringing him back but it would have to be on a contract that he’d most likely decline anyway.

His health is just too unreliable and I have a hard time believing he can make it through a full regular season and playoffs without hurting some part of his body or getting some rare disease

- he’s older
- he can’t stay healthy
- they won 90% of the playoff games in 2024 without him
- they were far better with Al on the court than him
- he folded and stunk the entire 2025 playoffs

Enough already of the Porzingis talk. There’s a reason he’s been on nearly 10 teams. Not a winning player

KP has not been reliably available when needed most. Same goes for RW3.

People trashing this idea forget when he is on the court he still gives you ¹⁷⁄₁₀. The main question is if this POTS he has is going to continue to be a day to day thing.

He was very good for golden state when he did play. 

Everyone loves KP but signing him now wouldn’t be a great decision unless it’s for the MLE or minimum

Sorry but absolutely not unless he takes a significant paycut, his availability still stinks and even when we tried load managing he still missed loads of games. JWill from OKC would be a good stretch 5 target but OKC will probably manage to keep him, his defence has impressed me I thought he was a gimmick player before I started watching OKC more.

Technically Queta could become this if he somehow works on his shot. Remember Al Horford and Brook Lopez was never known for their 3’s early on their career but developed into a “Stretch Big”

Crazy take that most will probably scoff at but with our player development there is definite possibility in turning Amari into an Al lite. Will he be as good as Al? Probably not but if he is willing to put in the work there is potential for him to be a lesser version.

We don’t need to keep rehashing the past but we need to move on to the future. We finally have a good group of young players that are work horses and have a desire to keep getting better and push each other to do it.

Do we still need a more dominant starting big? Yes we do but we don’t need to break the bank. What would be nice to have would be a big that can bang. Someone that doesn’t get bodied down low.

The league has moved toward super tall and lengthy bigs like Holgram, Wemby and KP style players. But we we have been witnessing in these playoffs is those guys struggling because of a lack of strength to be able to hold their position down low against guys with enough strength to keep them from backing down their opponent. Hence we see them taking a lot of fall away shots.

If we could just find a guy that is 7ft or plus that is strong and has good feet and can pass, we would be in a great position. If we could just stretch Garzilla out to be 7 feet 2inches and up his ability to move his feet and jump we would be golden.

With the direction the current young lengthy center has taken in the NBA, the way to mitigate this is with a guy that can body up. You can watch guys like Chet and Wemby struggle to get a board on really strong guys would box out well. They both struggle to move the other player.

KP’s market will be interesting. Is anyone giving him 10m? If not, get him for cheap, he loves Boston, and play him low minutes and cross fingers he makes it to the playoffs healthy and stays that way. Imagine him and Giannis in the front court.

Having KP wouldn’t have changed much this year. Have Al would have. The year we won the championship, I truly believe we win even if KP wasn’t on the roster that year.

They don’t need a big. They have plenty of talent to beat trash teams like Philly and New York. What they need is to get their heads out of their asses and actually play to their capabilities. That can’t happen with a coach who’s so intellectually deficient he can’t get himself dressed in the morning. He needs to go, and frankly so does Brad. Because he has Mazzulla’s back and believes in him, we can’t trust his judgment going forward.

I mean it would have to be like a taxpayers mid level exception or lower or it’s just not going to happen.

I’m not militantly opposed to the idea but Even with his injuries he might be able to get a non taxpayers in MLE.
