Yea I was screaming for them to get KAT the ball. Brunson got baited into playing 1 on 1 when the spurs stopped sending the double. He also did miss some wide open looks too but KAT should have touched the ball more there.
Yeah he had two wide open threes he normally knocks down, same with Bridges. Giving up a 14-0 run sucks but they got a few great quality shots, just missed . Also got some awful possessions in there though.
Brunson’s 2nd wide open 3 was literally in n out, you can’t ask for a much better shot than that, just want his night shooting the ball, I’d expect him to bounce back next game
They’re doing to JB exactly what they did to Steph. He’s the primary ball handler and their leading scorer so if you double him at half court and hack him all game long, he will have to settle for bad shots and be physically drained by the end of the game.

I get closing the offense with Brunson especially after Game 1. He’ll make the play when the defense is set whether he passes or shoots himself. However closing with Bridges on ball when they haven’t done that all year is the issue. Bridges was amazing when they get him in motion but having him orchestrate was a big no and I hope they dont do it again. Spam that JB×Towns PnR to death.

Definitely true - but I think it even goes beyond that. When you lose a parent - even one who maybe got on your nerves at bit (as all parents do) - you lose a lot of little things that you likely took for granted and didn’t even realize.
Someone who always picks up the phone. Someone who always has advice to give. Someone who always will be kind to you. Someone who always sees you for you. Someone who always roots for you. Etc…
So it becomes more than “I miss them.” It becomes a life-altering event that is hard to describe with words. That said, KAT has been giving a phenomenal glimpse into what it means to be close to a parent and lose them. Yes, you miss them. But it’s like you also lost a part of yourself that you think is still out there - so you’re constantly, instinctively looking for it.

Man, my father in law died in December. He was one of my best friends. The day I met him the first time we had the ‘what are your intentions with my daughter’ talk and then from there started to get to know each other and talk bal. We spent countless hours over the year talking about the 90s NBA and the Knicks and just all kinds of ball. The last text I ever sent him was about the Knicks winning the NBA Cup. Moments like these and words from Karl make you appreciate people who you miss so much more. I just wish he was to watch these finals with me man.
