Honestly, I never got upset about that criticism because it’s true. The thing that annoyed me was that Castle, Vassell, and Wemby do the same shit and were praised as the saviors of basketball for some damn reason.
What’s also sad is, I really like Harper and now I’m seeing him do the same thing the entire game today. I don’t know how Brunson kept his cool with the refs allowing him to be harassed like that.
I hate the type of defense this officiating has encouraged in the league today. It’s not just “physical”, it’s bad defenders grabbing and holding people because they don’t know how to move their damn feet or recover when they get beat. Yes, I know my team is one of the top benefactors of this, but it’s been exhausting being the scapegoat for what is a a widespread problem.
