it’s just whatever they call first but if they review it call the worst thing they see - in this case, hart grab > kickball
They just basically call the worst foul on review. No idea if that’s what the rulebook demands, but it’s how they almost always do it. An intentional trip will always be called before a kick ball. Plus, even with the kick ball, a trip is still a trip. You can’t just intentionally foul another player because they kicked the ball before you did it.
Anyway, in the end, it all worked out for the Knicks regardless.

Whether he intentionally does it or not it’s basically impossible to get that call in this scenario. The only time I really see it called is when they stick there foot out to stop a pass going past them
