Analytically the Hawks are already up 3-0 after game 1 of Knicks v Spurs

They’re never out of a game, even going back to last year.

This is just who they are; they just hunt teams down in the 4th quarter. They did it to the Cavs in game 1, and they did it in games 1 and 2 against the Celtics last year.

Over the past 2 postseasons, they are 4-3 in games where they’ve trailed by 20+ points.

Guys, I’ve been wearing my lucky Knicks shirt since the Hawks closeout game. The only game I haven’t worn it in that span was the sole single digit game. Just fulfilling my duties here.

I feel a lot of people are overlooking the FT discrepancy between the teams. I think going into the half the Knicks had only shot 3 free throws while Spurs had 13. The team on was able to stay strong during that run to bring us within striking distance in the 4th.

They’ve also allowed over 100 points 2 or 3 times this run, and they’ve also almost always scored 100+. When you dive deeper in this Knicks run, it just gets crazier.

Not to mention they were down by 14 at one point.

We played like sht and had the refs giving the spurs all the whistle calls until the 4th

Offensively, took a long time to get going, especially Brunson and OG, who sucked in the first 2/3rds of the game. Same thing happened in Game 1 vs Cleveland in the ECF to a more extreme extent. Even by the end of the game, the Knicks didn’t shoot well from 3.
