Before allllll this reporting about how certain it is that giannis would get traded I genuinely though the best path for him would be to just stay in Milwaukee, purely for basketball reasons too

AJ/rollins/giannis/turner is a great starting point, that’s 3 guys under contract for like 40 mill combined that could all start around giannis and fit really well

The bucks have the 10th overall pick, 2 tradeable future firsts, and like 30-40 mill in tradeable contracts with portis and kuzmas expiring, they’d have means to improve through the non tax MLE also if they do some minor cap work prior to FA

I just feel like people are underrating the guys on the roster they have that actually fit really well, and now they finally have means to significantly improve

The rub is they can’t offer and sign the extension until October, so Giannis is saying trade those picks now and get the roster better, but with no guarantee he will sign the extension.

It’s become a weird game of chicken and it seems the trust has eroded between his camp and the front office.

Incorrect. The point of smash burgers is that the high heat and thin meat creates a great environment for Maillard reaction.

Since you’re using such high heat a thicker burger would burn on the outside before the inside was fully cooked.

So you’re only flipping once because you only have time to flip once, else the entire thing is overcooked and ruined.

That’s not the way you look at a potential GS deal. Those post-Steph picks are likely the most valuable FRPs available among the suitors by a wide margin - and GSW can flip the Butler contract (which expires after this season) and then some (Podz, Santos, etc.).

Milwaukee gets some extremely valuable FRPs (which, with the new draft lottery rise in value given that now all of them have a greater chance at being top 3) and they get an expiring max slot.

What an odd take. GS management has been willing to break the bank to keep their team competitive, paying more than any other team in luxury tax. One reason for the dynasty is because GS was willing to pay 100-180 million extra every year to keep and compile talent.
