Reportedly he did sit down for an interview with the league’s investigators who wrote a letter for his sentencing commending his participation while Balmer wrote a scathing letter.

We don’t know what he said but it doesn’t really have much of an impact on his sentencing for a federal crime since cap circumvention is entirely an internal league matter.

I think it’s only fair they get a chance to actually look into the situation, and when I say they, I mean the Clippers, the NBA and the FBI. Innocent until proven guilty is the saying, right?

I think they’re guilty and something will happen at some point, but these things take time. I don’t think anyone should be surprised if this doesn’t drag out for an even longer period, months or years.

If they’re found guilty, lay the hammer down. NBA should make a statement about these things with their punishment. Time will tell!

Wachtell Lipton aren’t done with the investigation. It took them 10 months to conclude their investigation into Sarver. This investigation is way bigger with massive paper trails all over and involves legitimate fraud. They’ve also got to interview a lot of people who have no association with the NBA who don’t have to follow the leagues rules on investigations.

This portion is kinda irrelevant to the Clippers ruling.

Them being investigated federally was one of the main reasons the Clippers portion started to get investigated in the first place though.

It took Wachtell Lipton 10 months for the Sarver investigation and this one is way more complex. It involves enormous paper trails, actual fraud, and a lot of people who don’t have any association with the NBA that don’t have to follow league policy for investigations. There’s no action because the investigation is ongoing.

Is it just me or it doesn’t feel like Kawhi isn’t getting enough attention for his involvement here?

Depends on the context, but it’s generally doing what a bank does but with a focus on sustainability. Things like providing and managing lost cost loans with funds gathered from emission permits and surcharges to green energy projects are what the more successful, not fraudulent green-banks are doing.

Essentially a way for rich people to become carbon-neutral because they buy carbon tax credits. It’s really just a giant ass bullshit laundering scheme so they can pollute as much as they want but not technically break any laws and dupe the public into thinking they’re environmentally conscious.
