Yeah I think you live with what Wemby does offensively. He’s still got some work to do on that side of the ball. I fear for the league when/if Wemby takes his offensive game to the next level.

Main challenge is still gonna be figuring out how to score and get Wemby to burn gas.

I think the Knicks are best equipped to test a Wemby led defense. They have enough shooting to pull Wemby out of the paint and also the bigs who can guard him. KAT can absolutely rain it down from outside, you can’t put a smaller player on him and expect a contest. He’s got a quick release and the size to just shoot over anyone not named Wemby.

Straight facts. Wemby still has a way to go to be a consistent offensive threat. If you plan for him, he can be controlled. Like you said, it’s defense you can’t do anything about. Kat can get out on the perimeter but I’m going to bet they switch that up so Wemby isn’t out there with him.

Wemby’s an all star level offensive player but not on a Jokic, SGA, or Luka level offensively by any means. Wemby is a game breaking unprecedented defensive force by any statistical measure that we don’t have the terminology for that is breaking the rule that the best offensive player> the best defensive players in an unprecedented way in NBA history. as for the knicks i think it wouldn’t hurt to try what okc did the first few games in the series against wemby and go small ball to drag him out the paint , ik it’s a double edged sword but if the knicks r hitting shots the way they been the past 2 series i think that could be a real good game plan since they have a good amount of bodies to throw at wemby imo

I recall Knicks going at him more than any other team. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re the #1 team in points in the paint against them in Wemby games. I compared it to OKC a month ago and I’m pretty sure Knicks was like avging ~55 while OKC maybe only once got above 40. Alot of those guys are fearless going at Wemby and Brunson might even try to get him to switch on him a few times, at the least he’d gladly iso him if it happens. The only fearless paint attacker OKC had was JDub and that was only when he was fully healthy.
