Two unusual NBA scoring records were set by Spurs players, both New Yorkers, against the Knicks in the last 15 months.

were both by New Yorkers playing for the Spurs against the Knicks within the last 15 months.

Sandro Mamukelashvili, born in New York City and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia, scored 34 points against the Knicks on March 19, 2025. He shot 13⁄14 from the floor (including 7⁄7 from three) off the bench in 19 minutes and 27 seconds, for the most points in an NBA game in under 20 minutes. He also had 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal.
Julian Champagnie, born in Staten Island and raised in Brooklyn, scored 36 points against the Knicks on New Year’s Eve, 2025. He was 11⁄17 in shooting and from three (plus 3⁄3 from the free throw line). He did not attempt a 2-point shot. This is the most points that anyone has scored without attempting a 2-point field goal. He also had 6 rebounds and 1 block.
