I’m no Reggie lover, but i don’t think hes terrible when it comes to being an announcer that applies broadly across all viewer levels which is what is looked for. Jeremy Lin’s clips in contrast are highly detailed basketball specific stuff, kinda monotone even. They are great, but thats an entirely specific audience rather than a broad one, there is actually a good chance, at least starting out, that he would be terrible at it.
