I always assumed Gansey would become the Cavs GM. 

For years Dan Gilbert has treated that role like a Sith Master who gets replaced by his acolyte. 

Who can say how to judge anyone who wasn’t actually the final decision maker? 

But there’s every reason to believe Gansey will be a good one. 

Although - seems like Bob is going to be the guy so this seems like a lateral move.
