I love the Spurs. They want it so badly, and watching such young dudes killing it like that is mind-blowing. I haven’t seen this kind of passion from a team in a long time. I mean, from the coach to the staff to the bench to the rookies you name it. This level of collective passion is out of this world.
I’ve been rooting for them (and the Knicks on the other side) since the very start. I’m so happy they’ve made it this far, and why not win it all and give us an amazing Finals with the Knicks. Would be amazing watching my two favs clashing, and still i will root for SPURS to win.
I grew up a Spurs fan with Tim Duncan as my favorite player. I also root for the Knicks since I live in NYC. I know how long the drought has been for us Knicks fan. It is a tough decision and I love Wemby, but at the end of the day, it’s Knicks for the win.

I have one question, is that normal to see that amount of clips/faults/flops for both side ? It feels like referees are totally overwhelmed. Or that’s just twitter doing his shit ?

What usually changes is matchups and playoff adjustments. Physical defenses and scouting can affect foul calls and scoring, which can look like a sudden shift
The fact that game 7 is in OKC…the Spurs havent been playing against the Thunder. Their biggest opponent has been the system itself. Outside of blindly loyal OKC fans, I havent seen a single person that wants them to win because the game has been so blatantly rigged in their favor. At this point everyone wants them to lose because of how BS its been.

This might sound like some crackpot bullshit but I just watched the episode of Malcolm in the Middle where Spangler treats Richie preferentially until he gets his ass beat and I can’t help but feel like this is what’s going on with Shai. People ask why the NBA would do all this for the sake of a small market like OKC, but it’s just a stepping stone, creating a dragon for a hero to slay. They set Shai up for success all regular season and even the playoffs until the Spurs series, where their hero (Wemby) can slay the dragon (Shai). It took until facing Wemby for the refs to pull the rug out from under Shai and stop feeding him FTs. They need a meaningful villain to make their hero legit. They need a new LeBron and Wemby is good enough to deliver.
We are both crackpots then because I have been seeing the NBA manufacturing a villain / hero arc this series. In game two the cameras were told to point to the fouls the thunder were making and replay them for the audience to further the plotline.

No I think you need to check the numbers. While throughout the series spurs have averaged ~28 freerhrows compared to okc’s ~24, okc has averaged 31 fts in a game officiated by tony brothers vs 23.5 when he doesnt officiate or smtg similar to that
