Zach Zarba game thank GOD!
I think both fan bases can agree he’s been the best official thus far. He’s one of the best in the league.
But if game 7 comes, are they gonna assign neutral refs since the league has successfully milked the series at that point?
it’s either gonna be foster or brothers 😭 literal hell in game 7
You know what, the fact that I even conceived the concept of “neutral refs” is fucking sad
Sequential logic tells me that if there is a game 7, it will be Foster leading the crew, which terrifies Thunder fans and gives cautious optimism to Spurs fans based off his game 4 officiating. Only in the NBA does it feel like we have these types of discussions lol
Thought they were saving Zarba for game 7.
There might not be a game 7
Yeah but Tyler Ford
Spurs win Game 6.
Scott Foster doing game 7. OKC in 7 or Wemby flips the script with a 50 point game and Foster can’t call enough fouls to make it work for SGA if he has a bad shooting night.
You think the NBA would rather have us in the finals than Wemby..?
No Foster. No Brothers. Amazing.
Wasn’t James Williams the ref that Booker talked about?
Yes. He has his moments but no where close to brothers or Marc Davis
Nuggets fans hatred of Marc Davis is hilarious every other team finds him to be an ok ref but since he doesn’t call a foul every minute nuggets fans don’t like him
Well would you not agree that certain team benefit from different style of calls while others do not?
Marc Davis allows a very physical handsy game that benefits someone like McDaniels and does not help someone like Jamal Murray lol
I dislike him because he looks similar to Joe Rogan
Does this mean that Foster is in store for game 7 if necessary? Honest question, love ball but don’t have the time to follow ref assignment policy.
I shit you not, if this series goes to 7 the ref assignment will likely decide the winner. Thats how fucked the league is right now.
Theyre saving them for G7 to secure the OKC victory.
Zarba crew tonight. May the best team win. The winner of this game really should take the series.
…but as we know, Adam Silver is Foster for a +ratings G7 where he can then secure OKC going to the finals.
Why would the Spurs winning game 6 mean they should win the series? I know you can’t give a reasonable answer but still
My theory is they’re making okc into the villainiest villains to set up the Knicks to be the hero that takes them down. I will take no further questions
Zach Zarba is the same guy who officiated Game 1, right? Heck yeah. It’s going to be a fun game tonight.
Would have preferred him for a potential game 7, but it could have been worse
You’re not wrong there.
Foster on deck
Tyler Ford WILL be making things about himself
Zarba is probably the best in the league in my experience watching
I don’t know enough about referees except seeing Scott Foster being called the extender. Are both teams happy with Zach Zarba as the crew chief?
He reffed game 1 which was the least controversially called game of the series for the most part.
Game 7 about to be some DOG SHIT lol
Surprised you don’t save this crew for a game 7 but I’m assuming they have some sort of rotation to maintain. Weird to see that Zarba is the guy now.
Game 7 will likely be Scott Foster, Ben Taylor and Marc Davis then
Zach Zarba is easily one of the best refs in the league, let the boys play
If OKC get 2 Brothers games, then it’s only fair Spurs get 2 Foster games. Shits rigged
Foster might be game 7
The Extender in a game 7? Unstoppable force meets Immoveable object
This series is going 13
Record OTs? Game goes until 6⁄2. One night rest since OKC doesn’t have to travel and SA would only fly two or so hours south.
Watching Kelly Olynyk and Kenrich Williams iso eachother in the 8th overtime will be cinema
Be careful what you wish for Foster went 5-0 for OKC last year and had 2 blatantly bad games that I think he was over correcting for this year. There is multiple Foster video on YouTube about how bad his games were
You don’t want Foster. He’s there to do what Silver wants. Earlier in the series it was to even it up and secure a long series.
G7 will be to secure an OKC trip to the finals. You’re cooked if it’s Foster then.
I’m not sure the NBA wants OKC there. They definitely wanted this to go to 7, but a Wemby vs NY finals would surely be better for numbers. Or maybe I underestimate the amount of hate watchers
Wemby vs the Knicks is easily the bigger draw, it makes for a way better storyline.
They are saving scott foster for game 7
Gonna extend the game to 4 OTs
POSSIBLE GAME 8!!!!????
No brothers, might actually be watchable. I’ll give it a shot
Another 2OT banger please
Only if the Spurs win. I don’t think I can endure the double whammy of 2 OT and elimination in one night. Take game 7, I don’t care, just don’t take my sanity.
Well there’s no excuse if the Spurs lose then is there?
It’s not about it being an excuse, spurs probably still lose last game with a fair ref. But it’s just garbage to watch.
The excuse for losing has always been “experience”. The fouls are just building the “okc evil” narrative and is rarely used by people who care about the spurs.
No, every time they’ve lost them the series the excuse has been the refs and every time they’ve won it’s because they’re just that much better than the thunder because this sub is group thing to the Max.
Figured it would be Zarba. Game 1 was SAS +10 on FTAs, let’s see if he repeats that performance
Are you actually implying that game 1 was unfairly reffed in favor of the Spurs for the sole reason that they shot more free throws? Is this really happening?
It was fairly biased towards the Spurs, yes. That was the game Castle was doing everything short of punching SGA off the ball and only had 3 fouls somehow
You should go have your head examined
You should actually watch the games. The Thunder and Spurs were playing with the exact same physicality in Game 1, definitely not enough of a difference to justify a 10 FT difference
A Thunder fan complaining about foul calls is diabolical
