[Highlight] Jared McCain appears to make elbow contact with Harper’s throat area, then backs it up on him and falls to the floor. Foul on Harper
Bro plopped down like he was about to hit pushups
Okc culture 101
OKC Fainting Goats
Straight to the Ground Again
Do they train players on pulling this shit? Did McCain do this kind of stuff in Philly?
Was thinking the same thing, they must train that stuff a lot. Gaming the rules really is their culture

Are we taking the opportunity to shit on Oklahoma in general? I’m here to shit on Oklahoma in general. Most oppressive-ass victimhood in history.
Don’t forget how they had successful black people and Oklahoma responded by bombing American citizens and committing a mass murder. And burning down the whole area.
Fuck Oklahoma. Fuck ass state.
If anyone actually doesn’t believe. I’m surprised it hasn’t been wiped off by trump admin.
Love the energy here. Much love to Greenwood, Archer and Pine.
Their musical isn’t even that good
And their university still proudly uses Sooners as their mascot. Pretty low.
Don’t forget about the time they couldn’t stand successful Black people, so they bombed their own city and killed everyone
Fuckin love history lessons from that era
Except the rule is that this is an offensive foul. They changed it after CP3 did this a bunch. But the refs are so ass they just still give it to OKC. Glad I haven’t watched any of this series it’s unbearable watching OKC and the whistle they get
No, he did not
It really seems like they spend more time doing this kind of stuff than actually playing basketball at practice.
Nope but he also didn’t stick around long enough to learn the veteran BS
Their resident flopper was hurt the majority of his tenure in Philly
The Thunder are the Astros of the NBA.
Are these guys the floppingest team in history? Also how dirty are they? Worse than the Pistons in the Bad Boys ers?
This is literally straight out of the RDC skit they just posted lmao
RDCworld must have watched Thunder practice for real lmao. Their video ended up being super accurate for game 5.
I’m going to hate watch the 30 for 30 on this team and how they practiced for this.
Thunder fans: “wHy DoEs EvErYoNe HaTe ThIs TeAm?!?!!!?”
Then try to defend it saying every player/team flops and foul baits. Which is true to an extent, but they’re completely delusional if they really can’t tell the difference in severity.
I can at least respect a response that recognizes and takes ownership of what they’re doing, but defends it with “hey, whatever it takes to win, and it’s working”. Denying it just means they’re so far biased that nothing else they say has any credibility.
There is a difference between accentuating legitimate fouls to get a ref’s attention and flopping when there is otherwise no foul. This is something OKC fans clearly fail to comprehend.
It’s crazy because he wasn’t doing this in Philly at all. It’s only when he joined the Thunder this started to happen
Same shit with hartenstein, completely different guy when he was on the Knicks
I was wondering about that, because I don’t recall any of this in NY with him
seeing him mean-mugging every time someone on his current team gets fouled* done been driving me a bit insane, recently.
I’m almost wanting him to win this series to see him try that ish at the garden. homeslice will get laughed out of the city.
and bonked on the head by OG.
^*^definitionofa^foul^is^entirelywhateverthe^extender^proclaimsittobe^thankyouforyourattention^to^this^matter.
Analytically, the Thunder change the player 2 out of 3
Coaching.
Obligatory post of RDCworld1 video on OKC’s practice after G4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77OU2f54MCY
‘You tryna hoop in my gym?!?!?!’
🤣🤣🤣
“Do we hoop or do we flop?”
“FLOP!!!”
Such gold. I love how much this has permeated into general culture. And at the same time you have OKC fans still convinced this is some niche opinion lol
Imagine 🤔
Orders from on high
Totally realistic fall…
He threw his legs back as soon as he felt the defender’s hand.
What a joke. Hope OKC looses it all and the nba starts calling these flops next season. I have also seen the Spurs adopt this but not at the same level. Needs to stop or it’s completely unwatchable
Edit: typo
The league needs to crack down on this nonsense for the health of the league.
Badly
OKC is going to make me a Knick’s fan next week. Gross. 🤢
Nah, stay strong. 3-2 is nothing.
Now this is reffing
OKC fans are calling it physical 90s basketball 😂
If somebody flopped like McCain does here in the 90s, somebody probably would have thrown hands and there’s a pretty good chance it would have been one of his teammates.
Fall on top of him and accidentally smash his face into the hardwood.
they really need to fall on the floppers even an elbow to the gut to brace a fall wont feel good
I was saying this last night. Make em regret that shit. Shai wants to fall into you? Let him fall into the elbow, shoulder, knee etc. They crumple like wet paper under you? Use their body as the floor to get up.
Step on his head like Embiid did to Grant Williams (that was bad timing though)
Laimbeer probably would have killed half of OKCs roster by now. You used to have to really earn fouls.
Laimbeer would have fit in perfectly on the Thunder. He would do stuff like this all the time. If he had to play against them, he’d just try to one up them on both the physical play and the flopping.
Rick Mahorn, however…
I get why the NBA clamped down on fighting after the Malice at the Palace, but IMO the lack of fighting is a major reason we have so much flopping and petty grabbing shit these days. Players used to be able to kinda keep each other in check when the refs didn’t. If it boiled over too much, fights broke out, but there were pre-fight measures that existed, too.
No they still can foul hard. It’s honestly incredibly frustrating how the spurs (and everyone else really) are actively watching a series get called two different ways for each team and they’re not sending out olynyk to rough someone up in the fist quarter.
It. Happens. In. Every. Other. Sport. I think it’s basically coaching malpractice and I seriously think the league must’ve reached out to the spurs about sending a goon because to allow an opponent to job a series like okc is doing is incredible.
McCains flopping would be way down the list of objections to a 90s locker room
Physical until it happens to them
They practice flopping 100%, everybody on this team is way too good at it.
WTF kind of basketball move was that?? Never seen no shit like that dude just throws it back on his opponent and then flops
He didn’t even really throw his back into him. There was barely any back contact to be had with how quick he flopped down to kick his legs back. He just anticipated contact and hit the deck…
By throw it back I meant him throwing his ass back
He didn’t learn that move in basketball…
Aw man, can’t we just hate on OKC without Uncle Homophobia sneaking in?
Yeah if you fall you probably don’t kick your legs back like that m. Okc if you’re seeing this please make your flopping drills more realistic
Trae Young and Brunson at least used to feel contact from behind and leap straight up and launch a shot at the backboard
This is shameless from McCain :/
OKC so awful to watch that we got 76ers fans defending Jalen Brunson
Defending Brunson AND criticizing McCain. What are we doing, NBA?
luka does this all the time but it’s normally in the paint, it is especially egregious at the 3 point line
It’s called a jail dribble and everyone does it
Yeah, they just don’t fall like that whenever defender makes that contact they are seeking and just ride them to the basket instead 🫤
look like he was doin a burpee smh
Don’t forget Chet pushing Champagnie into Dort on a screen. Refs sniffed it out over replay but that is 100% practiced
Yup it took a challenge to literally show OKC fans but they still look the other way.
They have the dumbest crowd I’ve ever seen. They act outraged any time a call is overturned even if the replays (which they also show in the arena) clearly show it’s the right call. And they chanted “flopper” to Wemby at the FT line because the San Antonio crowd did that to SGA previously, apparently not sentient enough to appreciate the difference.
It’s really like 5 year old cognition: If something bad happens to me, regardless of the circumstances, “it’s not fair!!” If someone rightly calls me out on something I’m doing wrong, “no, you!!”
Isn’t Oklahoma dead last out of all the US in education? The whole “dumbest crowd” thing kind of explains a lot.
No way they don’t. You don’t get to be that good in this corny art without spending so much time perfecting those shits.
This is quite obviously a bad flop though, his legs fly backwards and he makes it blatantly obvious what he’s trying to do. Problem is that they still reward it!
This group of professional athletes falls down more consistently than any I’ve ever seen.
Flop drills.
I’m not even trying to be a hater, but it’s like they actually practice this shit. I’ve never seen a team play this brand of basketball.
Has to be. There’s a pathetic flop from IHart during the regular season where Gobert didn’t even touch him. Not even Doris Burke understands where the contact was.
Would not be surprised if the narrative was too focused on it being just SGA for people to notice the rest.
The fact they reviewed that for 5 minutes and still called it a technical was absurd. And of course Gobert got suspended later in the year for accumulating techs because of this.
Holy shit this is the kind of stuff that makes you want to throw the remote at the TV and I’m just a neutral
Imagine the effect it has on the mental of opposing teams..
I 1000% blame the culture set by the coaches and sga
RDCworld always on top of it lmao
Flopping wins championships!
Wait until the whole league catches on! (NBA is doomed if this keeps getting rewarded)
Plumlee did nothing wrong
refs dont mind flops, and they dont mind hard playoff fouls.
lets bring back the hard playoff fouls.
That what I’m saying. If they’re gonna call bullshit fouls based on okc performance then foul the shit out of them as long as you are going for the ball.
Okc fans brigading in 3..2..
The brigading on some of those earlier posts was absolutely insane. I swear there must be multiple bot farms on r/nba just driving engagement from every side. The bipolarity of this sub is out of control.
Literally hit his chest and he threw his head back.
Facts. This flopping bitch.
OKC fans were celebrating they got Tony Brothers to ref last night before the game started. I have screenshot proof of it.
Wemby called the hit on him after this shit I’m sure. Good.
How can you not hate this team.
I had OKC flairs yesterday trying to tell me that the Heatles and KD warriors were equally hated. Maybe they were hated but atleast they were entertaining to watch. Who the hell wants to watch this?
They were hated because they had all time hall of famers and some top 5 players playing together in their primes and running through the league which, at the time was seen as weak because old heads wanted to see these all time greats go at each other, not join up.
This OKC team is hated because they make the game look weak af. OKC fans don’t know ball.
Also the Heatles and KD warriors were fun to watch at least, the thunder are genuinely unwatchable
This is the actual difference.
You could watch “The Decision” and “The Hardest Road” and still enjoy basketball.
Watching OKC is painful.
I’d rather lose seeing Dwade to LeBron lobs and Curry 3s than by SGA FTAs
You could hate watch the heatles and you’d see an all time great performance by lebron in 2012. You could hate watch the KD warriors and you’d have at least 1 of 3 dudes scoring like 30 in a half lol.
You tune into the thunder? 30% Shai looking smooth as hell 70% him flailing around.
It’s just ugly to watch and not even in a gritty way.
OKC fans seem to think we just rally to hate the champs.
It’s just not true, I think the last time I felt this way has to go back to the 2007 Suns Spurs series LOL.
When Celtics won, I was like damn the team is mad balanced. When Denver and GSW won, I thought Jokic and Curry were playing out of their minds. When Bucks won, admittedly I thought they had an easy path, but I still thought Giannis showed why he’s at the top.
Yeah they were hated last year BEFORE they won anything. Usually people like to support small market underdogs, but it’s actually insane how much they foul on defence, and after a series Thunder fans will post FT differentials like they weren’t the team trying to foul every possession
Exactly. They were just too damned talented. They didn’t have to resort to bush league shit like this to win. Thunder are bitches
They don’t know anything, they’re last in education for a reason
If LeBron had the whistle SGA does with the amount of contact he was taking when driving to the rim on that Heat team… Oh lord…
I’ve been wondering about this myself, I remember hating those teams because it felt like they “cheated” in assembling these super teams. But at the end of the day they played “ethical” hoops. Looking back at those teams without the emotions of the time, the highlights are a blast to watch.
But this okc team feels like they are ruining the sport. They are just so locked into taking advantage of the rulebooks blind spots, something that every team does to an extent but it’s the Thunders X factor. Just flat out bad sportsmanship.
Those Heat and Warriors teams were hated for a completely different reason mainly because they were stacked rosters.
Meanwhile the reason why OKC is mostly hated outside of their fanbase is because their style of play (constant flopping and diving) is disgusting. In my opinion, this type of hatred is worse and more despicable.
Bingo. It’s like if you’re playing pickup hoops and the 3 clearly best players insist on playing together– lame as fuck, but whatever, let’s get on with the game. What would be infinitely worse is if one team keeps calling bullshit fouls whenever they miss a shot, but plays linebacker defense on the other end and get defensive any time you call a foul against them.
The first situation is an unfairly stacked pickup game, whereas in the second you don’t even have a real game of basketball in the first place. In the real world, acting like that is going to cause a fight and the game just won’t continue. In the NBA, that behavior is somehow supported and rewarded night after night by the referees.
I hate OKC but he’s not wrong. The KD warriors and LeBron Heat where way more hated, might be because I’m from Cleveland though
I feel like curry kd and LeBron all had way more fans as individual players than sga does. This leads me to believe okc is actually more hated than both teams
I don’t deny that those teams were hated either more or less, but at least it was fun to watch LeBron being LeBron or watch KD/Steph pop off every night.
100% more enjoyable to watch can’t argue with that
I hated GSW cuz they had all the cheat codes. This team is just unwatchable.
How can you not hate the entire state of Oklahoma
I don’t watch a lot of basketball but I turned the game on last night and caught this play live. The call is insane. I expected the announcers to react and point out that nothing about that was a foul caused by the defense. But I guess they’re too used to it?
OKC had 5 plays that were some variation of this in the hour I spent watching. Then I turned it off because it was not interesting or entertaining in any way.
I can’t tell if I hate the thunder team or knicks fans more. If OKC advances, this finals will be consecutive weeks of 9/11s
If you don’t like that, you don’t like NBA basketball
I do not like NBA basketball, by this definition.
To be fair, none of us like this except Thunder fans. I’d be so miserable if I had to actively root for and try to rationalize this.
I don’t watch the NBA but this just popped up in my feed. Yikes.
I don’t watch the NBA
You’re going to fit right in!
It is refreshing to see a literate okc fan
Lmfaooo
Another OKC fan who honestly thinks only they watch and know ball lmao. Not like 29 other team fan bases telling you the same shit.
This is how the nba hopes to make new fans apparently.
I guess I fucking hate NBA basketball then.
Bruh why he drop down like that
Because the league gives them every flop
That’s a burpee
Basketball play
Physical playoff basketball!
He was presenting himself for insertion?
Looking for that Thunder down under.
He plays for the Thunder. He didn’t do this in Philly.
Caruso didnt’ do this in LA or Chicago.
interesting hmmm
It’s 100% coached into these guys. You feel any bit of contact? Throw yourself on the ground.
Dawg, you know.
“Sounds like somebody doesnt know ball.” -OKC brain dead fans, probably
“do we hoop or do we flop?”
Are we hooping or flopping?!?
We flop!
Uh, hooping?
GET OUT OF MY GYM RIGHT NOW
Absolutely pathetic.
I don’t know if the league realizes it or not, but if this shit goes unpunished or even rewarded there is a chance you get a whole generation of fans turning away from the league.
It’s already happened with some people only watching college due to how sloppy a lot of the fundamentals are officiated in the NBA, but this is an entirely new level. We can excuse a carry or travel as not important, but turning what used to be hard aggressive playoff battles into whiny flop fests fundamentally undermines the reason we watch sports in the first place.
No one gets an emotional attachment to teams or players who don’t seem like they are battling, pushing through adversity etc.
Or you get the Plumblee followup, where he made sure McCain actually got hit in the back.
Okc running flop drills in practice but the big issue this season was tanking
Maybe they secretly engaged with the Italian national soccer team for lessons.
No chance, they won
Learned how to flop since the trade deadline.
“Why do people hate the Thunder”?
Disrespectful to the process of the game
That is awful
Worst basketball I’ve ever watched in my life
For reals. And the fact that league keeps letting this happen is criminal. Like they literally could fix this overnight if they wanted to over one Zoom meeting with all the refs. But they don’t. Because they want to preserve the storyline.
They’re insisting that SGA is some generational talent when all I’ve been seeing is he’s a generational flopper. Shits ridiculous.
People always look for ways to defend OKC’s flopping but there’s literally no way to defend this.
In the position that he was in, if Harper actually put enough force into McCain to knock him over he would’ve toppled forward and not been able to kick his feet out like he did due to the pressure applied.
In this however, as soon as Harper touches him he kicks his feet backwards and they end up under Harper while he makes no forward momentum and just falls straight down.
This shit is disgusting. They 100% practice flopping as a team.
Too much logic for Tony Brothers brain
I’m seriously about to be a Knicks fan in the finals lmao
I thought they reviewed elbows or any contact to the neck or face?
He hit him in the upper chest area. Doesn’t meet the criteria
cmon man you know they don’t review any contact to the neck or the face
there’s rakes across the face probably a dozen times a game going for rebounds
It’s so hard to watch the NBA anymore
Truly. It’s actually angering and at times and other times makes me rather sad because I grew up watching and loving 80s-90s bball. Really sucks.
This is the shit we’re complaining about OKC fans.
they are literally in the comments defending it too lmao
McCain kicked his legs backwards and fell on his stomach. Come on wtf lol
There were obvious pro-OKC calls all game but the out of bounds, refuse to acknowledge the challenge, then T for being outraged (pretty tamely outraged) then laughing with Lu Dort just proved this is all a joke.
then laughing with Lu Dort just proved this is all a joke.
Wasn’t Brothers laughing with Dort after calling a foul on Dort. Dort was saying it was all ball and Brothers laughed at him and pointed at his wrist.
Yeah and the replay even showed all ball 💀
I ain’t watching Game 6, Thunder are just so unenjoyable to watch.
If Spurs force a Game 7 I’ll watch and join the rest of the world in rooting against the Thunder
See, OKC.. You got me agreeing with a Celtic fan!!
That is the damage you’ve done to the Basketball world!
I wonder how much of their off-season training is about getting calls
And people were criticizing Castle for saying OKC play physical defense but when Spurs play the same way they don’t get to because of calls. I know Castle did dumb fouls but his statement is still true.
This is so fun to watch /s
SGA did that same move with Champaigne. Thats gotta be in their playbook lol
Big power bottom energy from McCain.
for people saying he only got hit in the chest, replays shows McCain’s elbow hitting his throat, then slid down to his chest, then slightly hits his chest. i don’t know how you can even miss that while claiming the replay doesn’t show a hit to the throat.
Is it just me or did Harper looked like he gave up on the play and flopped as well? I know of the jerseys were swapped on that contact, I’d call OKC on flipping off that.
They both flopped. Harper gets hit around the lower neck then throws his head back like he got hit by a sniper. McCain just plopped to the floor when Harper put both his hands on his back. People only complaining about McCain’s flop because OKC getting heat rn.
Getting hit in the throat and flopping to try and get the refs to call it does not equal dropping to the floor like you’re about to do pushups
“Lower neck” - so his throat?
McCain legit dives, who kicks their feet back like that? 😂
Its because Harper didn’t flop to the floor like McCain. Its the culture of the OKC
I like the Thunder’s roster but this flopping shit is getting ridiculous.
That bitch literally hoped on the floor and they called a foul. Thunder and refs are a joke
There’s no reason to watch any of these games. This is a bad product that will only get worse as long as the league lifts up and protects this sort of behavior.
At what point do teams just decide, “hey if we’re gonna get called for any attempt at defense why not at least earn the fouls” and just start super hard fouling them
lol nobody in this thread would call that “elbow contact to the throat area” on SGA, and if he moved his head like that afterwards every single one of you would call it a flop. the thunder hate is something else haha
Not a Thunder fan by any means but it’s gotten so out of control that even gambling companies have gotten in on the hate train. Did you see the one tweet (by Kalshi I think?) that asked for an over/under on SGA falls in game 4?
Also he didn’t back anything up on harper, he did what every guard in the league does if they’re being chased from behind - stop and if he runs into you, fall to draw a foul
Literally every guard does it. Harper tried throwing his head back when he was nowhere near his throat but everyone is hating on McCain.
McCain did not play like this here. Insane coaching to actually engrain flopping into the fabric of this team’s playstyle.
Daigneault is responsible for all of this but we never mention his name. It’s a team wide thing with the flopping.
Every time the camera pans to him, he’s bitching about fouls.
Literally turned the game off at this exact moment, such a joke
Unreal
Filipino on Filipino crime 🤦🏽♂️ 😂
