I feel that vindication, he’s finally get the recognition and usage he deserves. He has been frequently brought up as overrated and I’ve always said he just isn’t being used correctly since he is more dynamic than most centers. We’ve seen it this post season how good he is at sliding into different roles based on match ups and it’s a big reason the Knicks have found their rhythm.
He has one of the most elite offensive skillsets of all time for a big man. Credit it to mike brown for unlocking it and allowing it to maximize everyone else on the floor.
The combination of that with his newfound solid defensive presence?? Its made this team a juggernaut and shows their ceiling. Years of defending what i knew was there have been realized. If we can get 4 more i will spin the block like no one has ever spinned a block before

Knicks are my second team because my best friend is a diehard fan, but KAT was one of my fav non-Bulls even before the trade.
Hes also been through some crazy shit in his life. I can’t think of many other players who have experienced the amount of loss personally as he has.
The narratives are also sticking to him like crazy. He’s been excellent on defense this season, yet it barely registers beyond New York

Idk about the Timberwolves, but one of these teams is definitely going to be trading for Ja. This post season has been defined by teams with no playmaking getting exposed. Magic, Cavs, Hawks, Rockets, all desperately need a PG - and that’s not even mentioning teams like the Kings who didn’t make the post season. The question is how much they’ll drive up the price on PGs bidding against each other.

Even without the injury I didn’t like the trade especially after a strong playoff run. And TC def pulled the trigger on the first deal, the trade came out of nowhere and no leaks of KAT being shopped around just days before the preseason camp started.

KAT had just come off back to back seasons that he played 29 and 62 games with lower leg injuries, the team was about to get pinched by the 2nd apron, and he got DDV and a 1st round pick out of it along with Randle. I don’t like Randle but you’re being purposely obtuse.

The problem I have with comments like that wasn’t actually because they thought Brunson wasn’t as good, it was their reasoning. Saying you can’t win bceause a guy is not tall enough (except the times in history when that didn’t matter), and by tall enough I mean like 2 inches shorter than tall enough, is actually the dumbest possible reason you can give.
