This stat is since 2018. Bron and Steph were both over +200 in 2017, the year before this cutoff (Curry +245, Bron +207). From what I can find, Curry’s +245 is the current playoff record.

They probably spent more minutes playing with the bench or in garbage time. It can lead to a lower +/-.

After 2018 their teams weren’t really blowing teams out in the playoffs like earlier in their career for the big +/-

People just dont adjust to what’s happening in the playoffs. Playoffs have always been about whos hot/healthy at the right time and who’s cold/unhealthy at the wrong time. I was skeptical of the Pacers for a while last year but after they won 6 road playoff games in a row, half of them being @ a 64 win team I knew they could hang with anyone. Idc who its against you win 6 road playoff games in a row youre playing well enough to have a chance.

Same thing with the Knicks this year, except twofold cuz theyre playing the best basketball in NBA history. Again, idc who its against you gotta think the team on a 10 game run of the most dominant basketball ever played going into the finals has a chance

I think the argument against them is that the teams they’ve faced aren’t that great

Kinda feels like the Yankees run to the World Series in 2024, they beat Kansas City and Cleveland pretty handily to get to the World Series only to lose to the Dodgers in 5 because the Dodgers could actually play baseball competently.

Barring a 3-0 collapse there’s nothing else that will be able to detract from this generational run. Theyve got their work cut out for them vs either SA or OKC but with JB and the Knicks playing the way they have ..why not
