Cavs need to win the first quarter, I expect them to come out with a lot of energy….if Knicks are leading at the end of the first and can eat that early punch I really like our chances
It’s one thing for the Cavs to win tonight
But it’s another thing to get the win and make NY think they’ve figured something out.
It can’t be just some buzzer beater shit and barely scraping by.
I think we’ll win tonight, but I don’t think we’ll win the series.
They’re a different team at home. We just have to survive the expected early onslaught and just win possessions until we get the window to deliver the KO in the 2nd half. If we take better control of the first half this time, all the better.
In games where it’s “unacceptable” to score in the final seconds of game time, going for a half court/more buzzer beater should be acceptable.
Atkinson could have coached the brooklyn big 3 but kd and kyrie got him fired and hired nash and we know how well that went. This answers those lingering questions. Atkinson, now older and more experienced is still not a playoff coach and would have fared even worse by having two/three of the nba’s biggest divas on the nets.
I would argue Cleveland has to win both these games in Cleveland to have a single solitary chance in this series. If they don’t, I see almost no world they can go into MSG down 3-1 with that crowd likely being crazy and winning

The CAVS are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.
The Spurs should package 20 and Atlanta’s first next year to trade up with Dallas or Milwaukee to get the best PF not named Boozer, or 20 and their first next year to trade up with Charlotte or Chicago at 14⁄15. Not having a single non-center who gets regular minutes that’s over 6’7” just isn’t going to get the job done against a lengthier team. They were fortunate enough that Randle pulled a disappearing act, but the Thunder’s wings are just consistently going to show up. Their poor perimeter defense is just due to the constant need to collapse the defense as soon as an opposing player touches paint. Lendeborg/Steinbach/Morez would fix that team overnight
That’s not nearly enough to move up so far. The Bucks chuckle loudly, while Dallas slams down the phone. Their best trade-up candidate might actually be the Thunder at 12.
No shot Brian Wright and Sam Presti are going to do business. And maybe they’d have to throw in another future pick, but I personally think the Hawks don’t make the playoffs next year. But given their showing this year, that pick definitely has lost some value on paper

I would be shocked if the Cavs lose tonight. Detroit had them in this exact same spot.
Would be very pleased to split G3 and G4, then hopefully the rest advantage will allow NY to close this out.
I think this is the most interesting game of them all. You’ve got Cleveland on home floor, backs against the wall, and talking about how they’re used to this, and New York fully saying this is the biggest game for them and wanting to deliver the death blow
Cavs don’t have a bench like Knicks do. They’re so tired by 4Q

tbh i’ll be surprised of spurs or cavs win any remaining games, only because of their weaker benches

It’s interesting too because outside of the end of game 1, the Knicks bench has been slightly invisible. If it gets going, it’s blouses
