I used to hate how much LeBron would flop back in the day until I realized that he’s just great at drawing fouls in the way the game was called then.
I would consider myself slightly more than a casual fan in how many games I watch but I still know how the game is called now and what to expect in a playoff game. A lot of commenters probably just watch a few games a year and don’t fully understand why certain things are called or not in the NBA vs college or rec.
I was having this exact debate with a friends who HATES the OKC. Playoff basketball is different man. There are different criteria for fouls, the limits for certain fouls is higher, you’re allowed to be more physical, etc.

It only looks like that because it’s a slow mow reply. McCain had to basically put full force into him to bump him off(which is totally fine, almost every player does this, because you can’t score at the rim if you can’t do this), and he hits Wemby shoulder first in the chest higher up than he would normally get hit at that speed. It knocks him off balance, and his head moves a normal amount. There’s no snap back here from a flop. He stays on his feet and looks to see if the shot went in. If this was a flop he would have gone to the ground and looked to the ref.
Watching this and reading some of these comments feels like I’m taking crazy pills.
