Which is weird because he was getting doubled by cans vs the Lakers and is facing all world coverage from the Spurs. It’s clearly drastically impacting his shooting, but a win is a win.
High leverage merchant
He had to deal with very aggressive coverages vs the pacers/denver last season and spend a good portion of this season being doubled. He is just super comfortable at this point plus his improvement as a playmaker

Denver and Indiana series did so much for his growth. All the doubles in the regular season were great reps too.
He really leveled up in the finals last year. He started to figure it out against the nugs and wolves but really unlocked against indy

If they don’t double him it’s really over. They have great defenders but Shai would fry any of them 1 on 1
I think they can play drop coverage with Wemby. Normally that’s suicide against sga because he will kill you with middies, but Wemby can contest those mid range shots from like 6 feet away lol. They would have to give up some open sga 3s, but that low key might be better than letting mccain and co shoot wide open 3s all night.

With fox in, they have Shai repeatedly target him. And they need fox really bad offensively. They have to bring the doubles.

Cason has been a pretty good shooter this playoffs. He just hasn’t have the outburst that McCain, Ajay and Caruso did so he hasn’t had the recognition. But he has been one of our most consistent player this playoffs.
