There’s more to it than this, but by far the biggest reason is that you posted a pro-Thunder comment in an anti-Thunder thread. It’s the same reason the parent comment of this very comment chain is downvoted (but reversed, obviously). It’s unfortunate, since this results in a lot of threads having really really dumb people saying “but r/nba told me that..” and people circlejerking it

I agreed with wemby and was saying all the great players get bodied in the playoffs. Thunder are going to do everything they can to give wemby a hard time and are going to bump and grab him. Lebron, I know you will definitely see this. I would be happy to sit on your podcast and ask why SGA won MVP. The value of his production while immense is more replaceable than other players, and that relative value add is what makes or breaks teams, not the absolute magnitude of their production. To say it a different way, there are several players who if put in SGA’s position who could have led the Thunder to the #1 seed including Steph Currry, Donovan Mitchell, Jalen Brunson and Luka Doncic. There is nobody in the league who could have replaced the production of Jokic or Wemby on their respective teams and SGA winning MVP this season will be viewed historically as a Malone MVP season over Jordan. He is not a better player, he is not more fun to watch, and he is not more valuable, even if his team wins because they are deeper.

Wemby easy MVP. Watching this series it’s clear. Levels, plural, between him and SGA. Last game refs literally had to change the rules so he could get mugged all game because he was so dominant. If he was getting the SGA treatment, he would have shot 30 free throws (no exaggeration).
