They combine for 664 win shares, so just miss out. The Magic & Larry All Rookie team is about 200 win shares short, so not really close.

I wish they still did the rookie sophomore game because it was fun to see draft classes compete against each other and it was always fun to see which rookie class could actually win one against the sophomores.

It was the only game during the weekend that actually had stakes and competition because no sophomore class wanted to be the one that embarrassingly lost against the rookies, and I reckon this rookie team would’ve had a good chance against the weaker 2024 draft class

The 2021-22 team was pretty good. Prior to that, there’s the 2018-19 one. The issue is some of the names on those teams dropped off after their rookie year so it doesn’t look as good in retrospect but the 2018-19 one was very good when they were rookies. 

Crazy that there’s at least a starting lineup worth of players here that look very polished and even playoff ready. Unheard of imo

And imagine how next year’s rookie class is going to be!

If he didn’t play this season, he would still be eligible next year like Chet was. Too bad he played for a few minutes and then got injured. 

Ced’s ability to be a 3 level scorer makes him better but I get why ppl feel that way. I’m probably the biggest CMB fan on here I think that man is a superstar. I just think Ced is a bigger one.

He was not very good for like half the season and the hornets turnaround coincided with him being replaced in the starting lineup lol.

CMB could’ve been first team if he was healthy. He had a better overall statline than Duren in the playoffs. I know playoffs don’t matter, I’m saying that he missed games due to thumb injury in the regular season so we didn’t get to see him at 100%.

That said, Ace at #5 was a damn good consolation prize. He’s like a year younger than the rest of the top 5, but flashed a hell of a lot of potential towards the end of the season.

I know people call it Mickey Mouse march and what not but that aside I think he had a real shot of being first team and honestly he’s going to surprise a lot of people next year, mainly in his defense imo
