He got injured in the last few minutes of regulation, was limping around for a bit (that’s when Harden started to dominate the ball). He stopped limping by the end of the game, but I’m sure he was still far from 100%.

Dont want to put more pressure on that than you need to, not worth the injury. That’s what having 2 max contract ballhandlers should get you anyway, some relief when this type of stuff happens. They made the right call to switch primary ballhandler to Harden. He just sucked.

If he wasn’t good enough to handle the ball then he shouldn’t have been out there. Get someone in there that can do more than sit in the corner. The Knicks weren’t guarding him with their best defenders (bridges and OG) all game anyways, it’s not like he was taking one of those guys out of the play. They had f***ing Landry Shamet on him.

The “injury” also occurred late in the game, after the Knicks were already mounting their comeback and Mitchell had already disappeared

Piston’s lost up by 9 with less than 3 minutes left (honestly worse than the Cavs collapse), to lose in overtime and go down 3-2, only to blow out the Cavs in Cleveland the very next game (and send Game 7 back to Detroit), only for Cleveland to blow out the Pistons in Detroit. Game might bite the Cavs later in the series, but considering how the Cavs have bounced back from real hard losses this playoffs, wouldn’t think its a major thing.
