[Highlight] 27 years ago Allan Houston hits the series ending winner to give the 8th seeded Knicks an upset victory over the 1st seed Heat.
that footage in the NBA Action show intro, throwing the punch. Felt so excited just watching that intro as a teen.
I was a teen then too. This is up there with the Ewing dunk on Mourning, the Child’s two piece on Kobe, Van Gundy’s leg grab and LJ’s and one 3.
Ngl I’m always very confused at the online response of “he’s punching air rn” cause I think it’s a celebration
78-77. Halftime score these days 🙂↔️
Do you want to watch 80 point games regularly? Serious question
We have also had a bunch of 80-90 point games these playoffs
They hated Jesus because he told them the truth
Though it doesn’t have as many iconic moments as Knicks vs. Pacers, Knicks vs Heat had a rivalry in the late 90s.
It was a big rivalry in the latter half of the 90s Knicks run. This series win felt so cathartic at the time because of what happened with Game 5 two years earlier
Hell yeah. Fuck Pat Riley. Last time we won the East.
This series is probably my first real memory of watching Knicks games (I was 7).
Everyone wearing oversized clothes, even basketball players. Those Knicks jerseys look two sizes too big.
He was my favorite player back in the day. The 620 in my username is honoring his Olympic and NBA jersey numbers
I used to use 3320 for usernames back in the day - 33 for Grant Hill and 20 for Houston
Nice that’s awesome
lebron would enter the league just 4 years after
Final score give me chills
It’s like a modern Pistons-Magic game
In the next series the 8th-seeded Knicks would go on to sweep the Hawks. It remains the only playoff series in history where the 8th seed won the round with a sweep.
This is why the fat gambler retired???
Louisville’s own
That punch stays in my head
lucky bounce. like the kawhi shot
Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.
Or was it that smooth buttery touch?
The world may never know
Fuck off, I don’t need to relive this.
