I’m honestly curious what they do and how the fans feel about it. This is the golden age of Timberwolves basketball after all: 5 straight playoffs with 2 conf finals and a conf semi-final. Does that mean you stick with it and maybe make minor tweaks with Randle, or do you blow it up, trade both Gobert and Randle and build around ANT.

I just don’t think this team (or any team?) can win a ring with Gobert, but I also don’t think they’ll ever miss the playoffs with Gobert. Is that trade-off worth it for the Wolves?

Fully agree with this. Wemby’s (rightful) ejection hurt them that game big time, and game one was a 1-point game. Series was much further apart than the Game 6 series seemed.

Interestingly, this is the first time we’ve ever been bounced in the semis: thrice in the WCF, a bunch of times in the first round, never before in the second.

It’s the most infuriating thing to watch. How can you be in the NBA and have almost literal cinderblocks for hands. Is he an amazing defender? Yes. Do I feel intense fury and secondhand embarrassment every time he’s at the top of the arch without a single defender within 15 feet of him because every single person in the NBA knows he will NEVER make a 3? Also yes.

I genuinely don’t think his defense is worth being a complete black hole on offense, at least not in the contemporary NBA.
