[Uthayakumar] James Harden finished with more turnovers than made field goals for the 31st time in his playoff career & the 5th time this postseason.
Somehow has less turnovers than Cade this series
Cades turnovers have been really really bad in the post season. Granted part of it is because the pistons really lack a secondary star ball handlers who can score, but he just really needs to get smarter with the ball. Probably one of the biggest things he can work on as he gets older.
It’s not just that he needs to get smarter, he just gets lackadaisical in random moments. He needs to understand that he needs to zone in and focus for the whole game. If he does that, I have no doubt in my mind that he will be considered one of the greats. But that’s a big “if”.
Those lackadaisical passes are killer, it’s like he malfunctions and telegraphs his passes when he’s trying to playmake.
Cade is also leading the NBA in postseason minutes and has to orchestrate absolutely every aspect of the offense while still playing good defense. That’s a heavier physical and mental load than any other player in the playoffs. I think it’s less about being lackadaisical and more about just being mentally exhausted.
That’s a more than fair assessment.
The Pistons are not getting past the Knicks if they win game 7. New York fans are about to go bonkers.
Does the trolling ever stop?this subreddit is trash now. Just people with horrible hottakes.
I’m not trolling. It’s been on my mind and your comment reminded me of it and I’m not starting a post just to say that.
And how is saying the Pistons aren’t getting past the Knicks if they make it to the ECF a hot take? That’s something I think most people would agree with.
It was your “there’s no secondary star ball handler” that prompted me.
Fewer!
Tbf, Cade has much more of an offensive load. If he had a Mitchell to help with handling the ball, those numbers would likely be a lot lower.
Mitchell has been helping the Pistons quite a lot already
THis looks like somebody that literally has not watched Mitchell basically at all this postseason.
Tobias Harris has probably been better than Mitchell this postseason.
I’m not joking
There’s a difference between being good and having a high usage rate. It’s a fact that Harden and Mitchell split duties with the ball. Cade doesn’t have that luxury.
Mitchell is a pure scorer, he’s averaging fewer assists than Daniss Jenkins who handles the ball and is a good passer too
Harden is still the only true playmaker on the team, Mitchell is just too score first and insanely inconsistent as well
There’s a difference between being good and having a high usage rate.
And how is that relevant to my actual point?
Mitchell has been ass with or without the ball for the vast majority of the series. I mean shit, Jenkins has probably been better at his on-ball duties than Mitchell has.
My point: your response to the original comment was not relevant to their point.
What they said: Harden has less of an offensive load than Cade because Mitchell is a ball handler also.
What you said: Mitchell ass.
What I said: Yes, Mitchell ass, but that has nothing to do with Cade or Harden’s offensive loads.
It absolutely does, what is this dogshit point?
I’m not even making the argument that they both have the same load, but I do think that the OP was over-stating Mitchell’s impact on Harden’s load.
Mitchell is averaging 2.9 assists these playoffs, Harden is still the only actual true playmaker on that team
Daniss Jenkins is a better ball handler than Mitchell in that regard
We all love to see the copy and paste Harden posts being released from drafts, but this loss is still not on him. He was +1 until the end when the Pistons broke the game open. Donovan has to look in the mirror and be better. He is the leader of the Cavaliers.
Do people watch the games or just look at box scores on here? He played good overall (one of maybe 3 Cavs that did).
It’s definitely just a thing to hate on harden. But he’s got some all time playoff collapses (not this obviously) that kinda warrants the quick judgements
I disagree on warranting quick judgements. It’ll probably never happen but I just hope for a time when people look into things instead of immediately accepting (in this case watch the game). I don’t think that’s a high standard.
You did put “kinda” so I’m not coming at you by any means, haha.
Yeah fair enough but at this point it s a more likely bet than not that he doesn’t show up in a late-series important game. And he’s a foul baiter so got no respect from me
Only really one against the spurs
Oh brother, there’s a lot more than that. Let me see if I can find that one old post
I’ve watched all his playoff games, so whatever you dig up will just be some box score stats
Well you’ve set yourself up Ina position where you can’t be wrong, so I suppose I’ll just not even put in the effort. Good day sir
Maybe if hardens costars ever stepped up he wouldn’t constantly have to play through a double constantly, teammates cant hit layups….
I would kill for Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen
Edit: I phrased this badly I meant with ant in place of harden
I would kill for Ant, McDaniels and Gobert.
I meant with ant in place of harden, because he said hardens supporting cast sucked
You are extremely ignorant if you think the cavs supporting cast is better than the Timberwolves…
You would have lost to Denver in 5 with that crew
With Ant, Mitchell, Jarret Allen, and Mobley no we wouldn’t
Instead of McDaniels, Randle, and Gobert? Jokic is dropping 50 point triple doubles if CMB and Paul Reed dominate them.
But it kind of goes without saying that prime Ant is better than 36 year old Harden. Mitchell is supposed to be the Ant of Cleveland but he sucks
Grass is greener. That trio wouldve got their backs blown out by a team missing 40m in cap space
Funny because I’m dying for Harden to leave cavs and go to your team lmao
We don’t want him
Because you don’t know ball
Doesnt matter how you phrase it, you are wrong. Don is shooting 20% from 3 and like 12% fg% in the clutch for the playoffs on high volume. And mobley has had decent games but hes not playing up to his contract or dpoy level lmao and JA has been pretty invisible.
Blame the old man, definitely not the superstar’s fault
Cavs got a superstar?
Come back to the west Mitchell.
I need Murray vs Mitchell again.
The real superstars
I know you’re not defending the traitor.
What is the significance of pointing this out? Are free throws not real points? He scored 23 points 4 assists and 4 steals. Not a great game but I fail to see why a TO/ FGM ratio is relevant tool at evaluating a players performance.
Cavs are still somehow making him the focal point of the offense
Because Mitchell has been awful
Who else are they supposed to focus their offense on? Mitchell clearly can’t handle it. Anytime Harden is off the court, the team can’t do a single thing.
Who lead the Cavs in scoring tonight
Who tf is this Uthayakumar person and why are their tweets constantly being posted?
Considering he was such a great scorer, 31st time is actually crazy.
So 17% of his playoff games he has done this.
Keerthika is the true GOAT. Elite.
He’s so fucking good
I had to search for Harden praise posts after he had this 30 point overtime game so it is pretty funny to see people really grasping at the narrative about “Harden bad” after his 23/7/4 on efficient shooting. Some people are just sad having so much hate
Just wait until game 7, Cavs fans. The full James Harden playoff experience awaits.
Uthayakumar on fire with these Cavs diss stats, make Toronto proud.
Chuck “dribble dribble dribble dribble”
have teammate slip in wet spot…
How many of these games were when he was coming off the bench in OKC?
6⁄43 games in OKC (14%)
25⁄143 games since (17.5%)
Would having more turnovers than field goals somehow be ok if he was coming off the bench?
In limited minutes as a young player yes
he cost them the 2012 finals dude that’s not ok
Is he the only bench player in nba history to lose a team a series?
it’s definitely a very exclusive list because there’s not many bench players that attempt that volume of shots.
Yes the guy off the bench cost a team with KD and Russ the finals. This is exactly it.
I mean yeah? He shot a combined 4-20 in 2 extremely close games 3 & 4. Not sure why you’re glazing this pathetic pantshitter and playoff choker.
I looked it up, 6, but only 1 when he was low minutes. Most of them, he played more than 30 minutes
His first career playoff game was 1 turnover, 0 FGM.
Can he win a chip with this style of play?
When you’re at the top of the key, dribbling and defenses can look at you all the time, thats easy to defend right?
