Ausar Thompson in the win: 10/9/4/4/1 on 4⁄6 FG
https://www.espn.com/nba/boxscore/_/gameId/401871338
10 points
9 rebounds
4 assists
4 steals, 1 block
4⁄6 FG, 2⁄3 FT
And committed the softest foul in playoff history.
Refs were seeing ghosts out there.
That 1 block should count for 2 since he did it with both hands like a damn mad man
based on those last two fouls, someone tell me what the betting line was on the ausar double double.
Great statline despite some horrific calls against him
He’s the only elite defender without a favorable whistle
I maintain that if he was a scorer as well he’d be given more leeway.
If he was a scorer he’d be all nba lmao
One of his first fouls tonight was an incidental contact on a loose ball after he’d poked it away from Mitchell. Mitchell falls to the floor and gets the call by the refs. Very similar to the no-call on a loose ball at the end of game 5 where Allen and Ausar had some contact
Some dumb fouls, some ticky-tack ones, wish he could control himself a little better, still a game changer.
Demon
Bro has the worst whistle in the league
Those late fouls were just “f u” fouls. He musta said something they didn’t like
I just want bro to at least glance at the rim when nobody is guarding him at the top of the key
If he gets a jumpshot and continue to develop his handle (he’s a bit stiff but he does something’s like his brother when he’s confident attacking the basket), I can see him as one of the best two guys in the league for a long time.
dude is a rollercoster
He’s gotta learn to avoid fouls better, it’s the nature of his game but he’s always getting 3 in the first half and killing his minutes
Those last two were comically bad calls but I do agree
Cavs legit never try to box this guy out on defense
If they don’t guard him during the play, it’s hard to find him for the box out. And he was above the rim finishing some rebounds tonight 💪
