Harden has had some awful lows in the playoffs it’s true, he has also faced the most stacked conference of all time vs the most stacked teams of all time, from KD/Westbrook OKC, to pre KD Warriors, to 60+ Win Kawhi Spurs and KD Warriors

His run when he was in Houston was arguably the hardest run of all time, the teams he lost to were just all time great teams basically every single time while only one time he had an amazing stacked team he lost to the most stacked team ever and took them to 7

We can start with the big one, his playoff career.

This is a man who took the KD Warriors to the brink, and that first time around he did it missing his starting point guard Chris Paul for two games, with the infamous 0/27 from 3 game.

Harden’s never missed the playoffs, his overall stats both in the regular season and the postseason are superb both as far as counting stats and efficiency.

He has one MVP and very arguably could have 3, he missed out on an All-NBA team in a season he averaged 29/6/8. What more do you want me to say?

The more interesting argument is the one against him.

The biggest eye opener for me this series is the cavs opening possessions with Harden on Cade and Detroit setting picks for a better match-up. He’s held up pretty well this series, I think he struggles more against quicker guards or heavy offball players

Cade utilizes a lot of bully ball in his game, getting a ton of his separation through bumps and abusing shorter guys in the post to get to his middy. Harden being as strong as he is makes this a little tougher to do, and it would be super taxing on Cade to try and blow by him multiple possessions if he’s also our main source of offense for ~40 mins a night
