The narrative is gonna be about the FTs but I want to highlight how well he dissected the Pistons defense when they came back from down 9 late in the 4Q, as well as in OT.
He took care of the ball and scored, assisted, or hockey assisted on nearly EVERY possession. And on defense, I saw he was calling out switches and defensive assignments constantly
Plus he played great defense probably his best defensive game these playoffs
5 fouls and still gets a steal from behind he’s got incredible hands
Reminding me of his block against Dort in the bubble he can make clutch defensive plays at times
He got that block on Paul Reed too in OT. Shame he had multiple opportunities to put it away on the offensive end too though (that floater instead of lob comes to mind). But yeah he was very good on defense today.
