Being overweight is pretty much a negative in every possible way, both in how people look and health outcomes, and there’s really no place to point fingers, unless it’s a child (then the parents are to blame).
You might look at a 300 pound person and wonder how they didn’t do anything differently once they passed 250 pounds. You start to question their intelligence and judgement. If you pay taxes or for health insurance, you subliminally think about how much they are costing or will cost the health care system you are paying into. If you’re especially harsh, you might assume that the person is lazy and has no self control.
Everyone has his demons, I suppose. But obese people show it really obviously (different than say, a compulsive gambler, sex addict, etc.). People judge others because it provides a sense of comfort to the self.

That sounds like a lot until you realize a lot of people you wouldn’t say look fat are technically overweight. Specifically obesity is at just under 30%.
