Brother, I’m going to be honest with you. I had the same thoughts. But it is what happened. It’s happening everyday, he went into respiratory depression and there were no other compounds in his body. I use kratom often. I know the mindset, but it’s the truth. It happened. The only possible thing that could have compounded with it was the fact he was taking Retitutride, which I do agree could have had an effect. It had been 12+ hours since he took the peptide. But he took way over the amount of 7OH, and it got him.

I have been taking kratom on and off for a long time. I keep my dose low and consistent. Capsules of Green Malay. I am against it being criminalized and it’s unfortunate Kratom gets the wrap with 7OH, but it is what it is.

His story is actually a big reason why it is being banned in Kentucky. The ban affects me very negatively, as I am a very cautious user, but it at least gives me the opportunity to have to ween off of it soon. It’s stressful for me, and I understand your mindset.

No, the one who passed away was my brother for life, he would never. But we were both best friends with another guy, and that’s who did me like that. All of it was unexpected and more painful than you could imagine. I was with her from 15-24 and raised her up when she had nothing. Promised the world to eachother. Known the person who got with her right after my entire life, and he was also, truly, one of my absolute best friends. He’s still living with her. Also learned she cheated on my birthday not too long after.
We had a group of 4 of us, and luckily the last man standing with me has stuck by my side.

I’m thankful that the universe didn’t drag me along with people like that longer than I had to. Major lessons learned. Just snakes all around. I never cheated or did anything of the sort, too. Just abandoned and told I’m too good for her.

Randomly 2 weeks later she sends me a text to “set me free” (relieve her of the guilt), telling me she was with him. Then find out from her sister (who, by the way, was sleeping with my friend for 2 weeks straight right before my ex got with him), that she had cheated. It’s honestly just insane.

I am up 25lbs since it happened, 5’11” 155, gym 5 days a week. It’s been good. Sometimes the worst things that happen to you happen for a reason.

It was always on the court performance or not being on the court at all.

The off the court stuff got 5000000000000000000000x more press than it actually caused issues.

Brooks showed his ass against LA - but he also shot 39.3% TS and went ³⁴⁄₁₁₉ from the floor. Jenkins called him out after game 4 and he proceeded to go ³⁄₁₅ and ²⁄₁₀ from 3 in game 5. Then skipped exit interviews.

Ja has been suspended for a total of 34 games in his career. He has missed 193 games due to injury.

The off the court stuff was annoying af. But none of it mattered if they played and played well. You can’t be a head case and also not deliver on the court.

Ja wasn’t an all-NBA 2nd team talent anymore so the team just wasn’t good enough. They needed a new #1 option to contend, which historically for a market like Memphis is easiest to get at the top of the draft. If they had known about the lottery reforms maybe they wouldn’t have gone this route, but they also got very good returns for Bane and JJJ so it’s hard to fault them.

I loved havings Brooks on the team, his defense was great for us, but he wasn’t a “scapegoat”. He was a garbage 3-point shooter who took a ton of contested mid-range jumpers at a low efficiency and didn’t keep the ball moving on offense. If we wanted to take a step forward on offense we needed to fill that role with someone who could consistently hit 3s to space the floor for Ja and JJJ and kept the ball moving on offense to free up more shots for those 2 and Bane. Us moving on from him was a clear need well before that Lakers series

As a Gonzaga fan, my favorite player to go through was Brandon Clarke. There was just something about him that made him so much fun to watch. He was super athletic and was extremely agile for such a big guy. He didn’t have the shooting range of some other guys, but he made up for it by going 100% on every play. Dude would just hustle like no other and had an insane work ethic during games that I don’t think I’ve seen such a big guy ever have. Normally it’s the guards who you expect to be scrappy and go for every ball, but Brandon was that but as a forward. He was athletically gifted and used every bit of his gift to the fullest extent possible.
