Dylan Harper is questionable with left knee soreness the play happened here
That’s a big loss if Harper is out, he really played well in game 4
Wemby channeling his martian ancestors energy to go for 100 tonight confirmed
He’s been great. You can’t quite see it but I think he steps on Ayos foot and knocks knees, before the takedown
Hope he’s good
It’s honestly kind of hard to tell who your dirtiest player is. Ayo doing a good job of injuring people
Yes ok, in a game where one guy got ejected for an intentional elbow to the throat, the guy making the hustle play is the dirty one.
Or in a game where one team is being consistently dirty a player on the other team got fouled 5 times during a single rebound before he lost his cool and elbowed a guy in the throat.
I’m not buying the wolves as victims narrative. Every time I see a play from multiple angles there’s extra dirty shit they’re doing.
There are at least 3 clips of the wolves grabbing and throwing Harper to the ground in game 4
Edit: guys I get it, the wolves are not dirty. They just happen to always injure the best players on the other team and they are the only team that has ever got Wemby to lash out in anger. It’s really all just coincidence. Minnesota is really cool, they are like the bad boy pistons but they also are really nice and mean Wemby is just a bully. Thanks for educating me guys
I don’t think the Wolves are victims. They’re playing like a playoff team. What do you know about playoff defense at this point, Miami flair?
Yeah good point, Miami fans have never experienced the playoffs. Nice flair btw
Didn’t even make it out of the first round of the play in
lol not a hornets flair talking shit about the playoffs
I guess, in all fairness, the high point of the season for Miami was their best player — a thoroughly mediocre offensive player at best — scoring 83 on the Wizards paper defense. Not a surprise homie’s forgotten what playoff basketball looks like.
Hey, that was one of the most amazing freethrow shooting performances of all time
You’re right, THAT is what the playoffs are missing. More free throws to juice it up more. The Miami way.
It’s a playoff game and both teams are being physical you dumb fuck.
Shit I’ve never dove into someone’s knees or grabbed someone around the shoulders and yanked them to the ground. I’ve been playing basketball wrong this whole time
Well you’re not in the NBA. But thanks for the anecdote
Oh so it’s an nba basketball thing. These Minnesota fans are so educated
LeBron has been getting hacked his whole career and never done anything close to what Wemby did. It doesn’t matter how physical the game was prior. There is no excuse for wemby not being able to control his anger and assaulting someone
Isn’t the reason the stew LeBron fight happened was because of a elbow to the nose
If Ayo doesn’t wrap up Harper and fall with him here, the risk for injury is far more substantial.
Oh he’s helping him. Minnesota is really just so nice
You not knowing what Ayo is doing here says more about your ball experience/knowledge than anything else
They’re a general soreness fan. You can’t expect that much out of them.
Oh it’s ball knowledge for sure. I’m assuming him diving into Fox’s leg was also him helping Fox. You guys really are so unbiased and enlightening. Really the best fan base. Btw do y’all have an any sponsored abortion clinic in the arena?
No one is claiming the Wolves are victims.
Send da video
Oh yeah I actually forgot your dude loves forcing women to take abortion pills. Super funny.
https://www.reddit.com/r/NBASpurs/s/tfIN0LrqrX
Oh you are talking about the foul on the play where the foul got called? Maybe get Wemby checked into anger management classes before running your mouth.
Maybe win a championship before acting like entitled brats
Bending over backwards to excuse the worst action of the game is certainly a choice.
Bending over backwards to pretend your team isn’t dirty
Illegal UFC tactics or a simple grab of an extremity, what’s dirtier? Plus who’s to say the Wolves weren’t fouled before they did whatever you deem “dirty”
The difference is Wemby got punished for his retaliation and your team gets rewarded by not having to play against the players they injure
This is just an accident, you can step on any foot on any play
As he grabs him around the shoulders and yanks him to the ground. Wolves fans are truly delusional. Wemby really gave y’all the moral high ground tho huh
Ayo has his right hand on the ball, Harper twists and jumps and the force of Ayo on the ball cause him to fall backwards.

Show the one where McDaniels pulls him down to the ground by the jersey while he’s going for a layup.
Edit: lol downvotes for mentioning an actual play that happened. I guess yall don’t believe in reality
The play where we got called for a foul and-one?
He didn’t say it was a missed call, I think he was implying pulling a player out of the air was a bitch ass move.
and possibly a flagrant is dangerous to do that
Thanks for the reminder that team subs are toxic cesspools sheesh
How dare you talk about the Wolves having physical and borderline dangerous tactics??? On a serious note it’s frustrating to watch them do similar things OKC does defensively (and rightfully get hate for) but then Chris Finch whines and games the refs in post game pressers, Wolves are annoying in that sense.
I love the idea that the spurs are just this ethical team that doesn’t do any of this stuff like they don’t play physical and do the same things
Legitimately acting like Spurs are gentle creatures that were victims during a game where the tallest man in the league hard elbows a man in the jaw/throat.
I’m losing my mind with this. Spurs fans are acting like they want non-contact basketball. But then cheer on Castle and Vassell wrapping up Edwards like it’s a wrestling match (which is fine! Physicality is effective!).
The spurs flairs don’t know what playoff basketball looks like.
Specially after the dirtiest elbow we have seen in awhile
I like how I never said the Spurs don’t play physical and you still ran with a moot point that I didn’t try to make. Every team plays physical in the playoffs, however Chris Finch has made it a practice to discuss refereeing decisions and his unhappiness with them in the post game pressers as if his team isn’t one of the most physical teams in the league, Spurs aren’t angels, but Carter Bryant or Devin Vassell aren’t out here doing what Naz Reid and McDaniels are doing. There’s legitimate clips of Naz Reid boxing out Vic and grabbing his leg on the rebound attempt for him to fall over, that stuff has to be called and taken out of the game, Spurs fan or not, it’s not okay for any team to do it, and on the inverse, Vic wasn’t right in elbowing the shit out of Naz Reid.
Spurs fans have zero moral high ground here. Your team is the owner of the dirtiest play in the playoffs and, frankly, recent memory. Both sides are playing physical, and both head coaches have aired grievances about officiating.
I do not want to hear a single peep from y’all, this is playoff basketball.
Yes master. Thank you the opportunity to speak at all.
The worst thing about the Vic elbow was that r/NBA fans are so stupid that they’ll use it to justify anything the Wolves do, you typed that entire response up as if I didn’t say he was wrong for it, but this sub has to be filled with some special kind of folks. Victor Wembanyama’s worst moment makes every single action that led up to it and actions that will happen after it from the Wolves completely justified in this subs mind, it’s insane.
I heard your point about the elbow. You’re a hero for agreeing that a UFC move shouldn’t be tolerated, I guess? Bold opinion, guy.
I also heard your drivel about Finch as though the Spurs HC didn’t go justify Wemby’s elbow AND bemoan the officiating as well. You don’t have the moral high ground, dude. The Wolves may not either, they’re a physical defense. This is what they want.
Yes looking at someone and then proceeding to elbow them in the throat will be looked at differently than the wolves just playing physical, I hope that clears things up. Honestly u should be thankful victor world peace is even playing today, anybody else getting suspended
That’s because facts would hurt your ultra sensitive ego.
lol where’s the ego? I’m stating facts, you guys are in here crying because your golden child got pissy and threw a bow. Who’d that work out for, the team who won or the team who lost?
So you saying Wemby’s elbow is the dirtiest play is a fact, not subjective?
Let that settle for a bit before answering.
… yes?
Lol what, you think a jersey tug is dirtier? Gtfoh
So you don’t know what a fact is. Makes sense.
Tell ur 7”4 guy you not allowed to throw mma elbows at peoples throats
Tell your team to not lose by 51 at home during an elimination game.
I’ll relay the message, man I can’t wait for the wolves/okc to beat yall
Relay the message to your favorite teams players, don’t lose by 51 in an elimination game, and to your front office, don’t trade multiple FRPs to Dejounte Murray, the random animosity when someone points out how physical the Wolves are is funny as hell, they’re angels and all of the Spurs players are assholes, if I had a non Spurs or Nuggets flair, i’d get that upvote treatment.
Let me know when you guys make it to the finals lol
Bros acting like his team ain’t been ass for damn near a decade 😭
And the spurs are right back in the thick of it, what have you guys done in the last decade, or two, or three?
“How dare the coach says something about referees! Should have just elbowed them in the face to prove a point!”
ETA: I hope you kept this energy for Mitch Johnson criticism towards officiating leading to Wemby having to police the game
Borderline dangerous tactics. 😂Have you not seen playoff basketball before? You beat the wolves and OKC is way worse. But ya that elbow wasn’t dangerous at all and a totally ethical basketball move. Get outta here
Seriously. The whining from Spurs fans when their guys are playing equally physical and objectively more dirty is something else.
It’s funny when people can’t make a legitimate point off of what I said so they bring up the Vic elbow as if I justified it, Wolves have been reckless in this series and beat the hell out of Victor Wembanyama, and Victor was still wrong for elbowing the shit out of Naz Reid (I said this in another comment).
Is elbowing someone in the head a dangerous tactic?
If you dont play physical in the playoffs you get blown out. Adjust or Cancun
Fair, now when the Spurs get physical and continue the pushing and grabbing that the Wolves have made a key part of their game plan, how about you guys agree that Chris Finch should shut up with the hypocrisy in the post game? He wants to have his cake and eat it too, Wolves beat the shit out of every opponent and then try and game the refs while doing it.
Lets be real. If Naz elbowed Wemby in the throat and then Finch said in the press conference “sometimes you need to take matters into your own hands”, the wolves would be CRUCIFIED.
The mistake on Mitch Johnson’s part was waiting until it went to far to play the PR game, he shoulda made a public statement after game 3, he missed the opportunity and then it played out this way. Again, Vic was wrong but this sub is using that moment to justify literally everything the Wolves have done this series, that’s not how basketball works.
that’s not how basketball works.
Basketball is a contact sport… you know that, yeah?
It is, now tell Chris Finch that when he whines post game, multiple truths at play here, Wolves are being overly physical and grabbing at Vic’s limbs on rebounds which is dirty in itself, and only isn’t getting recognized because he hasn’t gotten hurt, and Victor Wembanyama completely overreacted and made a dirty move. No one fucking said that basketball isn’t physical, the main argument is that the Wolves want to dish things out and then game the refs afterwards, which can’t even be debated.
What has Finch whined about this series? All I’ve seen him say is there were some goaltends after game one.
Yeah but according to Spurs fans, Finch actually said all 12 blocks were goal tends and then accused Wemby of murdering a puppy.
i don’t want to hear shit from spurs fans about ‘borderline dangerous’ after last game.
ya’ll act like castle and co aren’t doing the exact shut you’re hating on too
Wembenyama just elbowed someone in the throat
Always a victim
Ah, that sucks
Unfortunate fall. Hope he’s good. Idk why people are acting like there’s something dirty happening on this play
A lot of fans that are experiencing playoff basketball for the first time. They’ve been conditioned by 82 games of teams not fully trying and not being physical, and then they see playoff basketball and can’t’ understand what’s happening.
NOOOOOOOOOOO
This is fine. Everything is fine.
Tough for the Spurs if both Harper and Fox are out. Castle and Wemby would need to have a generational game but it also opens up opportunity to have the offense run just through them. Barnes, Johnson, and Bryant would be given a bigger role this game if that happens to.
Timberwolves are dirty af.
Its the playoffs. Tough
They’re a dirty team under the guise of “being physical”
What is dirty about this play?
Want to remind me which ethical team had a stsr player elbow another player in the throat this same game?
Thus is not a dirty or particularly physical play lmao
Nothing dirty here, you can tell pretty clearly that he’s trying to help Harper land safely. The injury seems to happen when Harper curls his left leg back at the start of the fall.
Yeah but Wemby elbowed a dude so it’s basically a wash
Wemby’s elbow was the dirtiest play of the entire playoffs so far. Not sure you guys have a leg to stand on in this series call us dirty….
Bruh….
The Minnesota Magic
What in your mind was dirty about this play?
And why are the magic the face of dirty plays 😭😭
Really bro?
Oh my god one dumbass player who’s not even on our team anymore made two stupid plays like two seasons ago man
Bros acting like bitazde didn’t intentionally injure our center literally like a month ago, or maybe roid monster bane being dirty all season lmfao
Ah yes, A Spurs should know about dirty plays
Special agent Dortsunmu taking our guards left and right
He’s fighting for the ball at the end of a playoff game
And our guards aren’t?
did anyone say your guards weren’t?
They forgot to clarify that only their guards can because the Wolves are supposed to lay down because they can’t beat OKC lol
Are we sure lebron is the goat?
As opposed to Wemby itching Naz Reid’s chin for him
Get outta here with that lol
I kid I kid
Factually true that 2 of his plays are directly responsible for taking 2 players out, independent of intent or recklessness.
Next time maybe he should just let Harper get the rebound uncontested? Maybe Fox should have just let Ayo catch that long pass without hip checking him midair??
Quit trying to make more out of this than it is, a basketball play at the end of a close game.
Diving at players’ ankles and suplexing people aren’t basketball plays.
“Suplexing”
Come on man. Lol
The dive was pretty negligent, this play is not. This is just a tie up and fight for the ball. Harper just landed weird.
Fair, levelheaded take. 🤝
It is quite a dirty play. It’s ok you guys will start complaining about the refs next series when the other “physical” team starts beating the everloving shit out of your players.
Like an elbow to the neck? Or hitting a player airborn when they’re going for a long pass??
We can do this shit back and forth man, the “suplex” you’re trying to make more than it is ain’t it.
https://www.reddit.com/r/NBASpurs/comments/1tb9oyh/oh_so_this_is_how_the_pups_have_made_it_to_two/
Hmmm let’s talk about pulling people that are airborne.
You gotta be trolling 😂
Do we need to bring up bow often wemby is hitting people in the face on his contests? Or can we just expect this is physical play off basketball?
Y’all are taking this well.
I hope nobody elbows one of our players in the neck hard enough to get ejected.
We’ve been there all postseason already lol, you guys are also playing really physical in this series. Wolves have the biggest -FT differential in these playoffs and any of the teams close went out in the first round
Thunder have been less ‘physical’ than the Wolves so far imo.
By a lot.
Mcdaniels gets away with so much shit and frustration fouls when someone gets by him.
Spurs fans talking about non basketball plays eh? Remind me, which wolves player threw an elbow at the giraffe again? Oh right.
Yup, rightfully ejected for that one.
Does it change this play?
Did Ayo get a flagrant? Nobody wants to see anyone get injured, man. Let’s just be real here.
I mean this is a hustle play dude. End of a playoff game, both teams want the board bad. Of course he was gonna try and tie him up.
This clip might be the most basketball play of all time what are you talking about
Lifting a guy and throwing him to the ground is a basketball play?
Bruh he jumps into ayo
This is such a normal foul he tries to the him up and fouls then tries to prevent both of them from hitting the ground once they topple
Timberwolves are lowk recklessly dirty as fuck, but no one cares because they’re the underdog ‘good’ guys.
Ayo straight up yanked Dylan’s hands away from the ball.
If this was a Thunder player doing this instead, I know how y’all would be reacting.
How do you square this sentiment with Victor intentionally throwing an elbow at an opponent?
Easy. Cognitive dissonance. Playing hard and using personal fouls wisely in a playoff game is dirty. Elbowing opponents is protecting yourself.
You don’t. Victor made a mistake. He was ejected and we probably lost the game because of it. That’s consequences. Multiple things can be true at the same time.
2 things can be true at once, Vic throwing an intentional elbow was dirty and wrong, however Wolves have done their fair share of shoving, grabbing arms and knees on rebounds, and being overall physical, yet they whine about 1-2 missed goaltending calls and talk about refs post game so it gets ignored. Do me a favor and watch how Jaden Mcdaniels and Naz Reid have guarded and will continue to guard Wemby throughout this series, it isn’t clean.
Playoffs are physical.
Basketball is a contact sport.
I havent seen anyone complain about the goaltending since game 1, which we all clearly saw there were in fact missed goal tends.
It’s called retaliation
Dirty vs reckless. Neither are acceptable
Who’s reckless and who’s dirty in this scenario
I believe they are implying that Wemby’s elbow was reckless, while the Wolves and Dort and Caruso are dirty. Hope this helps!
I don’t understand how something that was clearly intentional can only be viewed as reckless.
Welcome to the playoffs
It was called a jump ball. Ayo is simply going for a jump ball. It’s a hustle play at the end of a do or die playoff game for the Timberwolves
The dive ball against Fox, I can see it being reckless and potentially dangerous. But how’s this dirty? It’s a pretty common playoffs foul imo. He fouled Harper but still protected him until he hit the ground, he didn’t just yank him out of the air.
Kinda like how that elbow to Naz was recklessly dirty as fuck, but nobody should care because Wemby is a ‘good’ guy, right?
Wemby is the only dirty player in this series based on what has happened so far
Been a long time since y’all have seen any playoff basketball.
Holy fuck y’all are soft.
