Reed is just a baller through-and-through, he’s at least above-average at every discernable ball skill (and this is a league where it’s difficult to be above-average at even any one skill).

The foul disparity in this game was 3x greater than in game 1. Game 1, y’all were called for 4 more fouls than us. Today, we were called for 12 more fouls. It was quite literally 3x more uneven

Mobley and Allen are both very good at defending the rim without fouling. This year Mobley averaged 2.4 fouls per game and Allen only 1.7. Meanwhile the Pistons couldn’t keep Mitchell from the rim in the second half (shoutout Duncan Robinson) and had little recourse but to foul because Mitchell was able to score on Duren pretty easily once he penetrated. A big reason the Cavs PiP is so low is that they kept getting fouled around the rim. If you include FT makes that came from paint shots I’d guess the PiP are pretty similar, if not favoring the Cavs. The Cavs blew open the second half by attacking relentlessly. Sometimes splits like that raise an eyebrow. Sometimes they just indicate that one team played clean interior D while the other didn’t.

I mean yes, nothing to see here. Instead of letting the cavs score in the paint the pistons fouled.
