If they show their worth, they’ll get playing time. Mark loves giving young dudes run if they’re proving they can handle it. Plus we develop super well. I wouldn’t call it rough at all. Our roster situation is about to start getting wonky as well with cap space so whoever we take could end up getting solid playing time.

If I were Presti, I’d seriously be considering trading JDub and their backend lotto pick for whoever drafts #3 if Boozer is there. He has so many options to sweeten the pot to get a deal like that done (Topik, Sorber, Joe, Wiggins, McCain)

They could then keep Dort and IHart, elevate Ajay Mitchell to the alpha role he’s in now, and add another generational talent to the frontcourt on a rookie deal.

Which is what a team would require to give up the rights to a player like Boozer. I’m just bullshitting here, but it’s not like it’s totally unrealistic, and it’s one of the few moves I can see that would legitimately make the Thunder a stronger team, while solving their salary issues.
