I’d think twice about giving reaves a max. Maybe if you’re Utah since you have a big zero at sg. But a max for reaves is questionable. I don’t think this is similar to Jalen Brunson totally. And Brunson end of the day took a paycut and didn’t take the max.

35 is what you give a hartenstein, jrue, etc. The guy that gets you over the top for a ring. Reaves is nowhere near a 35 mil on a contender type of guy. Great regular season guy but if he costs that much your team won’t be able to afford the pieces needed for a chip.

there are so few guys who can create offense in the half court come playoff time. he won’t fit on every team and he doesn’t even fit on the lakers when luka is healthy which is why he’s always in trade conversations, but no need for the massive overreaction to him struggling while injured against the best team in the nba

Jazz as currently constructed do not need Reeves especially with the emergence of Keyonte George this past season and likely need to pay him big money as well. Even more so if the basketball gods reward them in the draft, might be adding another 2 guard there.

This is why Luka and AR are actually detrimental for the Lakers in playoff series.

They get hunted on defense. Which is fine, if they’re able to get it back and more with their phenomenal scoring capabilities…. But if their scoring is off, they can’t bring the game back.

Turnover is on Bron, he played good d on Shai midrange but Shai made a good shot.

Ajay blow by is pretty bad.

I dunno how much he could have done with Chet.

AR isn’t a good defender on a good day. Add to that returning from injury and being the only ball handler against a Thunder team that grinds you down, no surprise the collapse happened 3rd qt.

Circlejerk is what it is. But AR is a good player and I think a good team can be built around him and Luka

But the Lakers have been playing with 6-6.5 player rotations for two post seasons now. We need depth, we cannot play every starter we have 40 mins per game. Especially a player like AR who already is at a physical disadvantage
