It’s a contact sport, the question is if the contact is illegal or if it changes the SQBR it doesn. If LeBron embellished, then it might’ve gotten called because ir was changed but may have been overturned in the review
That’s still a foul the rulebook doesn’t change. Players can’t use their hands to slow an offensive player who’s already in motion. Physical playoff basketball is about bumping people with their bodies not using their arms to push people.

Sqbr is not an actual rule though. Just bc that’s what the refs use to determine the severity of it and if it’s incidental or not. But a foul is a foul, no matter how a player reacts to it. The foul rules are written as illegal contact, not illegal contact that slows down a player or changes his shot.
