[Highlight] Carter Bryant after hitting a 3 off the dribble hounds the Wolves on defense
I was kinda shocked he fell to 14 but was thrilled about it. He’s not as polished as Dylan obviously, few rookies are, but I’m very excited for him. Don’t have to use much imagination to picture him becoming a very solid player like you had to with some of our previous draft picks
why are you shocked this guy fell to 14th?
Bryant started five games as a freshman and averaged 6.5 points per game.
Devin booker being drafted 13th was a reach
In 38 games for Kentucky in 2014–15, Booker averaged 10.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 21.5 minutes per game
Do you follow the draft? He was mocked to go like 8-12. Not a huge slide but as a favorite prospect in Spurs circles, we were not getting our hopes up for him at 14
He was mocked around 8-12. The consensus was a young guy playing in a veteran school at Arizona and that his game favored the pro game more than the college game. He also fit the profile of long athletic wing that many teams look for in today’s game. Scouts were very impressed by his athleticism and size but more so by his motor.
Surprisingly he was not expected to be there by the 14th pick. He was mocked to Portland a lot
Unfortunately for the rest of the league, the spurs roster (outside kornet and Kelly) is full of capable 3 ball shooter
Woah woah woah. Luke is shooting 100% from 3 this post season
It’s funny bc there’s no one on our team that would strike me as an excellent 3 pt shooter save champagnie but they all hit at a decent enough clip to be troublesome for opposing defenses
Mini Anunoby
Hoping he gets more playing time. We can use the strength and energy.
I really hope he develops into a PJ Tucker type player
I was impressed by this last night.
Stops Randle’s drive from the top of the key, stands in the gaps and stunts when Shannon Jr. tries to drive the lane, recovers back out to Randle and bodies up to stop another paint penetration, then sprints out to a much bigger Naz Reid, stops his drive and forces a bad shot. Amazing defensive possession
This kid is special, very raw but already improved greatly in one season
