[Highlight] Lebron cuts through and throws down the oop from Reaves
“Oh ok, I’ll go get it I guess”
Bron called it when he pointed up but probably didn’t expect it to come so soon lol
41 sometimes I have to do peptalks to sit up. He can take his time getting up there 😂
I mean, pretty next level pass from Reaves too. To see the defense all with their eyes off the ball and pinpoint it while fading away
He was calling for the screen from Rui
LeBron pointed up twice
Fuck it, he’s up there somewhere
I just want to see him play one season of tight end…please lebron…aybe your 43 y.o. season? lol (He’d still be money in the rz)
That’s what you get for throwing midgets at lebron
LeBron is fucking agile for his age I believe him when he says he could’ve been a WR his get off is crazy😂
More like a pass catching TE.
So basically Travis Kelce if he was more athletic in every facet
And half a foot taller
And not married to Taylor Swift
Savannah James is the Taylor swift of Ayesha currys
That’s hilarious
The sneaky athleticism is what lets him thrive though
Wait Lebron’s white?
He can be anything he wants to be im pretty sure at this point
Gronk is a better comparison. Not a lot in common with Travis.
Not really. If anything it’s a worse comparison outside of height.
Travis’ game was never based on athleticism. He isn’t as tall as LeBron, as fast, as strong, or as heavy. Gronk and LBJ are both similar in height and weight, (and I’m assuming strength but it’s debatable) with a significant amount of Gronks game being based purely on being bigger and stronger than his competition. We can assume LBJs game would be similar given that he would be bigger than most of the competition. I think it’s fair to say that LBJ would have been a very similar red zone threat to Gronk.
To be honest I’m genuinely curious why people think that Travis is a good comparison. The only similarities I see is that Travis has a high football iq and LbJ basketball iq, but not sure how much that would play out in similar way given how different physically they are.
Travis is elite at route running and reading defenses. I guess we’re assuming that LBJ would have been very good at reading defenses?
You’ve made the assumption that I think he should be compared to any TE. I think he’s like more a Calvin Johnson/Brandon Marshall/Andre Johnson kind of wide receiver. He’s about as big as a pass catching TE but too fast to be covered by a linebacker and can jump higher than any safety or corner guarding him.
Got curious about this and looked up the raw stats for Rob G vs LBJ. Rob G was 6’6 and played at 268. LBJ is 6’9 and played around 260. Robs 40 time was 4.68, LeBron is estimated in 4.4-4.6 range.
Obviously, LBJ can go lighter and gain more speed or go heavier for blocking… he’s also intelligent enough and has the vision to be a QB.
I’d say he could have been a QB, WR, or TE depending on what he wanted. He would have generational at WR or TE, an unmatched redzone threat. I personally believe he could have been incredible at QB as well.
Regardless, a generational athlete. Maybe the best we’ve ever seen.
Nah you don’t want the 6’10 4.40 dude anywhere but on the outside he’d be dangerous
I’m glad LeBron didn’t play football he would’ve gotten CTE going over the middle in the 2000s
Nah, like a Calvin Johnson-type receiver. He’d do well at tight end, but he’s way faster and way more agile than most pass-catching tight ends. He’d would always have to be covered by a corner or whoever the team’s biggest safety is. He would torch linebackers.
He was ready, but he still moved fast. No one came close to reacting effectively.
At least Reaves didn’t do his usual LeBron lob where he thinks it’s 2009 LeBron jumping
Funniest thing is current LeBron can finish most of those lobs too 😭😭
LeBron’s getting pretty much every oop at this stage in his career. But 08-14 Bron was out there catching straight BULLSHIT😭
Part of it was because he simply could get that high up because of his athleticism. The other part was because his teammates were so ass that they’d just throw up the most ridiculous shit and LeBron would bail them out.
Nah first stint Cavs lebron was a different level
One of my favorite stories is of Vince Carter when he was on the hawks right before covid hit. They got word and they thought it might be Carter’s last game ever, so they got him in and Trae comes up to him and goes “alright cool I’ll throw you a lob” and Vince Carter is like “no the fuck you’re not I’m 41” lol. He shot a three instead (and sank it!)
Not an AR lob if its not for 2009 Lebron
Spoke too soon. He just did it.
He’s only 41
We say 41 years old.
Bron says 41 years young.
They definitely didn’t draw it up like that… right?
In the beginning you can see LeBron calling for the oop
You can see LeBron point up twice, the second caught Reaves’ attention
LeBron offball hesi so convincing, I thought he didn’t expect it lol
Tbf it wasn’t until this clip was posted that I realized he called for it hah
Reaves saw Caruso cheating to get through the screen. Smart play by him and smart play by Bron to be on the same page
Dude some the actions Reddick has LeBron and Reaves running in this series have been fucking beautiful.
You can see LeBron call for the lob immediately and Rui times his cut away from the hoop to screen off Caruso and take Joes attention too. Pretty standard stuff for a lob play right?
But we know that Reaves really struggles with crowding defence, Cason makes his life hell especially last game so why bother trying to get closer. if they’re taking away your strength in space just back up more and make the play from there lol.
Like Trae or Dame taking deep as fuck threes to draw defenders out and open the paint up but this is for a pass hahaha
Sets that would’ve blown our brains 20 years back and there’s been like 10 in just todays game already.
I know we lost both games but really gotta give props to Redick for how the team has been playing this entire postseason. Makes the Doncic injury even more sad in retrospect.
Schematically has done a great job shutting down the MVP. We simply don’t have enough to win
What a fucking pass
Le fuckery is winning
What the hell was that lmao
come home king we need you against the Pistons
AR and his wild lobs to Bron lol
he shouldn’t still be able to do this at 41.
in the playoffs.
Against the best team.
Best player of all time vs best team currently
Strongest in history vs strongest of today
Looks like Bron signaled it right before.
Dude’s 41
That was pretty cool.
I don’t think anyone, including LeBron, expected that pass lmao
He definitely did because he pointed up before hand
I thought he was just pointing for rui to come set the screen but you might be right
LeBron orchestrated that pass dude, watch again
he literally called for it
I know Bron signaled it beforehand but it kinda looked like he wasn’t ready for it lmao
Wtf man 😂
I hope the lakers can steal this one out even if its just an Atlanta new york type of 6 game series lol. They are playing with so much heart this year
that was funny
“fuck it, lebrons up there somewhere”
Ah yes the “Miami Bron up there somewhere” play.
AR likes these wild Bron lobs its crazy lol
Reaves finally throws a good lob to Bron.
WHY NOT USSSSSSSS
One of the greatest things I’ve ever witnessed
Work of art
“Fuck it, LeBron is up there somewhere”
insane pass
A game wouldn’t be complete without an Austin reaves assassination attempt on Lebron
This dude is a cyborg
Lebron wasn’t even ready for it lol
He literally called for the pass, he was ready before Reaves was lol
I think that was the plan but it look like reaves did it sooner than he expected to me but i could be wrong
Caruso forgot Lebron wasn’t on his team anymore
41
That sh1t is crazy
Oh we’re ooping?
only lebron probably can dunk a pass with little preparation
Don’t think we’ll see another athlete like LeBron anytime soon. Dude is still more athletic than most guys at 41 lol
“Suppose I’ll take this one”
I wouldnt be surprised him seeing him dominate at 45 yrs atp bro
“Austin I’m 41”
Reaves threw another alley-oop to Bron but it was too high, resulting in a turnover. Dude needs to chill with throwing lobs to a fossil.
